Awesome Steve Jobs trailer gives us fresh look at the biopic before hitting theaters

With Steve Jobs hitting theaters in early October, Universal Pictures has dropped another intriguing trailer to hype the biopic. This time, we get more of the evolution of the tech visionary over time, including his meteoric rise, astounding fall, and unlikely comeback.

The preview kicks off with Steve Jobs (played by Michael Fassbender) in the early days of his career, posing questions that ultimately revolutionized the tech industry and life as we know it. “What if the computer was a beautiful object — something you want to look at and have in your home?” he says. “And what if, instead of it being in the right hands, it was in everyone’s hands?”

We don’t just get a pretty picture of Jobs’ amazing accomplishments, though; the film also portrays the late Apple CEO’s personal and professional struggles. There is perhaps no starker reminder than when Jobs’ ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Chrisann Brennan (Katherine Waterson), says, “Your Apple stock is worth $441 million, and your daughter and her mother are on welfare.”

With the film covering a period that spans three product launches, the trailer has a lot of ground to cover. Not surprisingly, it moves at a fast pace, which is fitting considering Jobs’ almost surreal career. We see enormous crowds cheering for him (complete with signs), the Apple board voting him out, newscasters calling him a “superstar” as he makes his comeback, and more. Along the way, we also see Fassbender’s character age, transforming from a young, long-haired and scruffy guy to the recognizable man in the turtleneck and glasses.

The film also stars Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Seth Wozniack and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, an original member of the Macintosh and NeXt teams. Acclaimed screenwriter Aaron Sorkin penned the screenplay, basing it on a biography written by Walter Isaacson.

Steve Jobs hits theaters on Friday, Oct. 9. The wait is almost over.

A WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) is heading to Lyon Metropolis for the first time for WWE Backlash France 2024. Since the formation of TKO in September 2023, WWE has prioritized global expansion. In 2024, Backlash France is the second PLE to be held outside the U.S., and it won't be the last. Five of the next six WWE PLEs will take place outside the U.S.

Heading into Backlash, WWE is entering the "American Nightmare Era." After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is now the Undisputed WWE Champion. A different era means a new crop of challengers for Rhodes. First up is AJ Styles, a former two-time WWE champion. Rhodes must bring his A-game if he wants to walk out of France as champion.

Luke looking off into the binary sunset before dying in The Last Jedi.

Every Star Wars fan has a favorite movie, and many Star Wars fans also hate at least one of the entries in one of their favorite franchises. That can make the exercise of choosing the perfect Star Wars movie to watch on May the 4th difficult. For all of the love this fan base has shown to the franchise over the years, it's also a fan base that has strong opinions about why one movie or another is worthy of your time.

This May 4, though, I'd recommend watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Almost undoubtedly the most controversial entry in the saga, one that makes some people furious and others jump for joy, The Last Jedi is worthy of your attention, whether you like what it's doing or not. Here are three reasons you should check it out:
