Why drink coffee when you can chew it? Go Cubes hit Amazon Launchpad

GO CUBES Chewable Coffee
It’s no secret that Americans are all about coffee we can drink while we’re on the go, but apparently, to-go cups just aren’t cutting it these days. To make coffee even easier to consume, nootropics and biohacking company Nootrobox recently introduced Go Cubes, chewable coffee gummies that are designed to deliver the desired caffeine kick, while reducing the jitters the drink can cause. Hailed “the future of coffee,” Go Cubes hit Amazon Launchpad on March 2, where they were met with an eager consumer base.

The product has been creating buzz (in multiple senses of the word) for months, including the launch of a successful Indiegogo campaign that closed at over 100 percent of its goal in October. Go Cubes are unique in that they are said to offer a “more focused [and] calm sense of alertness,” according to Nootrobox. The chewable coffee contains nootropic components that the company says “helps reduce the jitteriness of caffeine,” so that those who consume it can be alert and productive. They even come in multiple flavors: mocha, pure drip, and latte.

People are definitely interested in Go Cubes’ benefits. Nootrobox CEO and co-founder Geoffrey Woo tweeted on March 5 that the company had sold almost all of its stock on Amazon Launchpad, just days after it became available on the site.

The product is selling in boxes of 20 four-cube packs each for $60 on Amazon Launchpad, but it takes much less to get a jolt equivalent to a cup of coffee; a serving is two cubes, which contains 100 milligrams of caffeine, roughly the amount you would find in a single cup of joe. From that one serving, the effects should last 4-6 hours.

It is worth noting that Go Cubes have not been reviewed by the FDA; the product is made with ingredients that the FDA classifies as “generally regarded as safe” (GRAS), making the gummies exempt from certain Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requirements.

Whether or not the gummies do indeed turn out to be “the future of coffee” remains to be seen, but so far, Go Cubes are off to a promising start.
