If you thought Sony was prepared to slap a metallic red finish on a 10-inch laptop and call it a Vaio netbook, think again. After the company dropped full specs for the Vaio P Series at its press conference Wednesday evening, it’s clear that the rumored netbook design has been thoroughly Sonyized—both in features and pricing.

The P Series will sport an 8-inch ultra-wide LCD, but the real news is in weight and size. The razor-thin notebook weighs in at a feathery 1.4 pounds. Sony also claims those dimensions make it an easy fit in purses and jacket pockets.

In terms of connectivity, the netbook comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi, a 3G modem, Bluetooth, and even built-in GPS.

Like a true Sony, it will come in garnet red, emerald green, onyx black, crystal white, and classic black. Also like a true Sony, the netbook will run for $900 when it appears in retailers next month, making it about twice the price of beefier competitors.

Instead, a Redditor turned one into a glowing acrylic DeX box with spare parts, fans, a USB hub, and the kind of LED lighting that makes every homebrew computer look mildly illegal.

Windows 11 suffering from RAM crisis

If your Windows 11 PC suddenly looks low on storage, your downloads folder or game library may not be the problem. According to Windows Latest, a bug tied to a Windows system file can silently consume tens or even hundreds of gigabytes on the system drive.

The file in question is called CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal, and it sits inside Windows’ Capability Access Manager folder. Windows Latest says the issue may appear as unusually high “System files” usage in Windows 11’s storage breakdown, even though the Settings app does not clearly identify the exact file responsible. In some reported cases, users saw it grow to 200GB, and even more.
