Oooo, what COULD this mean?! pic.twitter.com/P93Nl643SU

What indeed! Eve’s Garden was a strip club located in the Fort Frolic area of Rapture in BioShock and BioShock 2. Could the publisher be teasing a re-make? A sequel? A spin-off like Ken Levine’s recently-lamented Final Fantasy Tactics-style PlayStation Vita game set in a pre-fall Rapture? Only time will tell.

When 2K Games dissolved Irrational Games earlier this year the rights to the BioShock franchise remained with the publisher, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. This tweet is the first, murky sign we have seen of what might be planned for the beloved franchise.

2K warns users to beef up cyber security after support team gets hacked
Borderlands 3 characters preparing for a gunfight.

Borderlands and BioShock publisher 2K Games has been hacked. The company announced the breach on Wednesday, and it is warning customers to change their passwords and not open any emails from its support page.

The 2K Support Twitter account, which was not affected by the hack, posted the following message, saying that the hacker was sending seemingly legitimate emails to certain players containing malicious links, and strongly advised customers not to click on those emails if they happen to receive them. As a result, the company's support page has gone offline while it resolves the issue.

BioShock Netflix film unites Logan and I Am Legend talent
A Big Daddy stands tall in Bioshock.

Bioshock's live-action Netflix film adaptation had attracted some top talent. The streaming giant took to Twitter today to reveal that the director of I Am Legend and the writer behind films like Logan and Blade Runner 2049 would handle the film adaptation.
The director is Francis Lawrence, who is known for directing 2000s cult classics Constantine and I Am Legend. More recently, he directed the last three films based on The Hunger Games and is currently filming the prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbird and Snakes. Hopefully, his experience with making films with horror undertones and adapting popular pieces of media serve the scary aspects of this BioShock film well.

The BioShock film's writer is Michael Green. He is credited as a writer on such films as Logan, Blade Runner 2049, and Death on the Nile. His track record isn't perfect because of subpar films like Green Lantern and Alien Covenant, but Green clearly knows how to write for famous pop culture properties. Hopefully, he has the chops to adapt Ken Levine's chilling and iconic story into something special.
Although video game movies have a reputation for being bad or very risky projects, more notable directors have slowly attached themselves to video game-related projects recently. John Wick series director Chad Stahelski is currently slated to direct the Ghost of Tsushima film, and now a pretty notable director and an experienced writer will adapt the critically lauded BioShock into a live-action feature film.
Hopefully, this pans out well. The BioShock film does not have a release window.

NBA 2K23 is set to release on September 9, 2022, and 2K developers are starting to publically talk about big changes coming to the premier basketball simulator, and major improvements coming in the next installment. Notable improvements coming to this year's NBA 2K include an upgraded Pro Stick that will allow players to pull off more flashy dribble moves and emphatic dunks than ever before, more advanced AI teams that will react to your playstyle like real NBA teams, a new tiered badge system, and, of course, the option to hang on the rim post-dunk whenever you'd like.

"NBA 2K23 is nearly here and it features gameplay enhancements that elevate the competitive intensity in all facets. The main pillar for us this year can be summed up with one word: Authenticity," reads a release from the development team.
