It was only a matter of when, not if, a third installment to the Uncharted series was released. The second game was a huge hit, both critically and commercially, and it wound up on many “best of” lists for the year—not just as a part of the list, but generally on top of it. So a third game was a certainty, which left us poor gamers to patiently wait for Sony and Naughty Dog to tease what we might have to look forward to. The wait is over.

Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly unveiled the first details of the third game, including the title—Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The game will take Drake through the Arabian Desert in search of “Atlantis of the Sands”. Sony has also released more details about the game as well:

UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception features the return of famed fortune hunter Nathan Drake and follows him through a gripping, action-packed storyline that will take you all over the world. In his search for the fabled “Atlantis of the Sands,” Nathan Drake and longtime friend and mentor Victor Sullivan set off on a daring trek into the heart of the Arabian Desert. But when terrible secrets of this lost city are uncovered, their journey becomes a desperate bid for survival that will force Drake to confront his deepest fears.

Throughout UNCHARTED 3, you’ll be taken to spectacular new locations around the globe that will showcase all of the work we’ve taken on to take acclaimed physics, particle and visual effects to a new level.

Competitive and co-op multiplayer will return as a key ingredient to the UNCHARTED 3 package, where all of the new features we have planned will combine with our signature single-player cinematic gameplay to create a unique action-adventure multiplayer experience that can only be found in the UNCHARTED universe.

Oh, and there’s one more thing – UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception fully supports high-resolutionStereoscopic 3D.

Expect to hear more about this game following the SpikeTV Video Game Awards this Saturday. Sony had been planning a surprise for the show, and many had guessed that it would be details on this game.

It has been a big day for Uncharted news. Earlier today, news began to leak that director David O. Russell may be postponing his work on the movie adaption of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune starring Mark Wahlberg in favor of a different project. But that is another story, and for now, behold the first images of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception!

Is NBA 2K26 cross-platform?
A basketball character with a sweatband.

Football fans have the Madden games, baseball fans have MLB The Show, and basketball fans wait every year for the new NBA 2K entry. This year, we have NBA 2K26 with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Angel Reese, and Carmelo Anthony each appearing as the cover athlete on the various editions of the game. All the classic modes are back, including MyCAREER, MyTeam, MyNBA, The W, and more, but the big question is if you can play online with friends on other platforms like you can with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, or is it limited like Madden NFL 26? Before you rush the hoop and grab NBA 2K26, I'm calling a timeout to fill you in on all the cross-platform details.

We're officially in the throes of summer and, depending on where you live, suffering through the incredible heat. While I always think it's good to get out and enjoy the summer, there's a limit on how much sun we can take and need to head inside to relax with some cool Game Pass games. I'm especially excited for this weekend because there's one game here that not only screams summer, but also tickles that nostalgic part of my brain. I think even newcomers will love that pick, but I always throw in two other options just in case you're looking for something a bit different. Make sure you check out my last pick because I know you've never heard of it, and it might just be your weekend obsession.
