It was only a matter of when, not if, a third installment to the Uncharted series was released. The second game was a huge hit, both critically and commercially, and it wound up on many “best of” lists for the year—not just as a part of the list, but generally on top of it. So a third game was a certainty, which left us poor gamers to patiently wait for Sony and Naughty Dog to tease what we might have to look forward to. The wait is over.

Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly unveiled the first details of the third game, including the title—Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The game will take Drake through the Arabian Desert in search of “Atlantis of the Sands”. Sony has also released more details about the game as well:

Russell may be postponing his work on the movie adaption of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune starring Mark Wahlberg in favor of a different project. Connections is one of the best puzzle games from the New York Times. The game tasks you with categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight and each new puzzle has a varying degree of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare your scores with friends.

Some days are trickier than others — just like other NYT Games favorites The Mini and Strands.
