Russian World of Warcraft player Хируко has become the first in the world to unlock all 2,057 of the decade-old MMORPG’s achievements. While it’s not the first time this has happened in WoW, it is the first since the addition of new endgame content and increased level cap introduced in Mists of Pandaria.
The player even managed to snatch up a lot of Realm First achievements in the process, such as being the first to level every character class to the new cap of 90 for his server. While that’s certainly impressive, it takes on sinister undertones with his explanation of how he pulled it off, posted on MMO-Champion. Namely, Хируко moved to a small server with a gang of friends that went around murdering anyone else trying to hit 90, while others gathered crafting materials for him–not the most sporting behavior.
Blizzard will be removing Realm First achievements from the upcoming expansion, Warlords of Draenor, in order to disincentivize this sort of abuse.
