Panasonic’s 2013 over-the-ear headphones

Not to be outdone by the likes of Monster, Velodyne, PDP, or any other of the dozens of headphone manufacturers at CES this year, Panasonic has pulled the curtain back on their new lineup of over-ear headphones. We realize that headphones might not be the first product that comes to mind when you hear the name Panasonic, but they’re no slouch when it comes to audio. We haven’t heard the HXD3E’s firsthand quite yet, but until then here’s a quick rundown of their specs:

  • 120 dB SPL
  • 10 Hz – 25 kHz frequency response
  • 32 ohms impedance
  • 30 mm drivers
  • 1.20 m cable length

We’ll get back to you with more details when we get our hands on a pair.

Instead of sitting inside your ear and/or sealing your ear canals with silicone tips, the SoundGear Sense sit just outside your outer ear and use air conduction (as opposed to bone conduction) to let you hear audio.
