Amazon’s Fire Max 11 tablet: We liked it at $230, we love it at $185

Last summer we looked at the 2023’s Amazon Fire Max 11 once more, concluded it was still among the best Android tablets, and have since stayed essentially silent about it. Until now. That’s because there’s a limited time deal going on over at Amazon for their Fire Max 11 tablet.

Usually it is $230 but while this deal lasts it is $185. That’s a savings of 20% or, to save you the arithmetic, $45 off. And, of course, that brings new life and interest to the machine. You can tap the button below to see the deal for yourself. It’s been awhile since this tablet (again, one of the best Android tablets) has gotten hype, so you’re excused for having forgotten about all of its details. But don’t worry, if you keep reading, we’ll bring you back up to speed.

Why you should buy the Amazon Fire Max 11 tablet

“Is this product for you?” is a very cliché question that’s easy to gloss over. But it is a really big question for the Amazon Fire Max 11, since it has some areas it really excels at. Our Amazon Fire Max 11 review called it a “media machine,” and that’s how you should think of it. It’s not that it isn’t an “excellent general-use tablet” (that’s a quote from our review) but just that it is more focused on some things than others. We found that it really excels as a tablet for reading and a tablet for movies or TV shows. You might even find that browsing and typing on it are easier than with other tablets, on account of its optional keyboard and stylus. It’s got 4GB of RAM and the version currently on sale is limited to 64GB of storage, however, so it isn’t going to be a mobile gamer’s dream tablet — though, our reviewer accounted playing casual games like Candy Crush with no problem.

If you’re recounting your 2023 hype for the Amazon Fire Max 11 and still want it if a discount is involved, now is your chance. While this limited time deal is on, you can get it for $185. Again, that’s $45 lower than what you’d usually pay for it. This not your style? Check out other tablet deals to find something more suited to your needs.

The Kindle Scribe just got a rare deal in Amazon’s Big Spring Sale
Handwritten notes using different pens on a Kindle Scribe.

There's a lot to say about the differences between paper books and ePaper books. Paper books give us extra senses of touch and book-depth to increase memory, and (I think) even Digital Trends writers are allowed to say that the time away from a screen is pretty great. But what if there was a paper-saving, super notetaking, and even discounted eBook that was debatably better than a regular physical book? Well, then we'd have to talk about it.

The latest Amazon Kindle Scribe is one of the best eReaders for notetakers, and you can get one with 64GB of storage for just $365 (or 20% less with a trade-in) right now. This Amazon Big Spring deal brings it down $85 from $450, at least if you buy it between now and March 31. Tap the button below to find the product or keep reading to learn about its cool features.

Amazon just slashed the price of the Kindle Colorsoft to only $225
A page from a comic on the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition.

If you've always wanted to buy an e-reader, you should check out Amazon's Big Spring Sale 2025 for Kindle deals. Here's an offer that's going to be hard to refuse: The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, which has an original price of $280, is available at 20% off for a more affordable price of $225. We're surprised to see the device receive a $55 discount so soon after its launch late last year, so we highly recommend hurrying with your purchase because we don't expect this bargain to last until the event ends on March 31.

Why you should buy the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition
The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, which received a solid score of 3.5 out of 5 stars in our review, is featured in our list of the best e-readers as the best color e-reader, and it's also among the best Kindles as the best color Kindle. That's because it's the first model of the e-reader with a color screen, which is its major advantage in our Kindle Colorsoft versus Kindle Paperwhite comparison. In addition to reading digital copies of bestselling novels, the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is one of the best ways to read graphic novels and comic books while on the go, as the 7-inch display is also glare-free with an auto-adjusting front light.

Why you should buy the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet
The Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet bring a great combination of affordability and the latest tech. For instance, this model of the Fire HD 10 tablet, released in late 2023, is 25% faster than the previous generation of the same tablet while also getting lighter and having a better camera. It has a 10.1-inch 1080p screen, 13-hour battery life, and (for this version) a 32GB storage drive. This last point is relatively minor, however, considering you can expand the storage by up to a TB with a micro-SD card.
