How To: Set up Bluetooth on iPhone

With several States enacting hands-free driving laws, it’s become more important for busy people to have a Bluetooth headset when in the car.

Fortunately, almost all major phone manufacturers have integrated Bluetooth into their products. Apple is no different and the iPhone comes standard with integrated Bluetooth.

We’ll help you set it up in four easy steps:

1. Go to your iPhone’s “Homescreen” and hit the “Settings” icon. Then select “General” followed by “Bluetooth”. You’ll need to slide the Bluetooth setting to ON.

2. To connect your Bluetooth device make sure that the device is within at least 30 feet of the iPhone. Turn the device on and put it in discoverable mode.

3. The iPhone should find and recognize the device for you. When the phone does find your device, select the name of the device on the phone and then select “Pair.”

4. Your user manual for the Bluetooth device has a four-digit passcode. You’ll need this to connect it. When prompted, enter the passcode on the iPhone. Finally, tap the “Connect” icon to finish the pairing process.

You should now be ready to talk away on your Bluetooth headset.

The iPhone 17 may get one of the biggest design changes in five years

The iPhone has had a distinctive look since its initial release in 2007. Sure, the sizes have changed, as have materials, but you can generally glance at an iPhone of any generation and say, "Yeah, that's an iPhone." Now, a rumor suggests that the iPhone 17 could draw inspiration from its predecessors and bring back the curved edges that have appeared several times throughout the generations.

Leaker Fixed-Focus Digital shared on Weibo (a Chinese social media platform) that the iPhone 17 would reintroduce the rounded sides of the first few iPhones, doing away with the straight edges current models have. Some fans find the straight sides less comfortable to hold, although a case can make a big difference in how the phone feels in your hand. Fixed-Focus Digital doesn't share further details, but Apple tends to differentiate its premium lineup from the base models. The design change could apply only to the base versions of the iPhone 17, to only the Pro and Pro Max versions, or to every version.

With the launch of Apple Intelligence and iOS 18.1, Apple introduced summarized notifications to assist users in managing notification overload. These notifications group alerts and display only the essential details. However, the BBC has recently pointed out that these notifications, particularly news alerts, do not consistently deliver accurate information.
What summarized notifications are supposed to do
In iOS 18.1 and later, instead of being overwhelmed with individual notifications, you can receive them bundled into a single, summarized notification. This feature is handy for group chats and news updates.

The summaries utilize AI to identify and present the most critical information. For instance, a summary might indicate when a group chat is especially active or highlight breaking news you should be aware of.
