Moviegoers this summer with Bluetooth enabled portable devices will be able to access Twentieth Century Fox’s newest promotional push in select Loews Theaters. Movie trailers, ringtones, wallpapers, and more from summer blockbusters are being made available for mobile phones, PDAs, and laptops.
The pilot run is being held at the Loews Universal Citywalk in LA, and the Loews Metreon in SF from May 27th to August 15th. Content from “Mr. and Mrs. Smithâ€, “Fantastic Fourâ€, and “Kingdom of Heaven†are currently available for viewing by the moviegoing public.
In order to access the content, simply walk by one of the Fox film standees with a Bluetooth enabled device, or phone. If Bluetooth is activated, the device will automatically prompt the user for the opportunity to receive content. Currently it takes less than 30 seconds to download a full-length movie trailer, and no additional fees will be charged, from the phone’s service carrier.
