Read a full list of Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures bonus material

When Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures hits retail on September 18, we predict that it’s going to be a big hit with fans of Spielberg’s whip-wielding adventurer. Not because the films themselves have received meticulous attention and should look and sound better than they ever have before, nor because this is the first time fans will be able to pick up all four Indiana Jones films on Blu-ray in a single package. Instead we think the real prize here is the massive list of extras and bonus material that the producers involved with this collection have compiled for the release.

Included in the collection is “seven hours of bonus features, including nearly an hour of previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage,” which, while not quite as massive as that upcoming 50th anniversary James Bond collection, is still pretty huge. ComingSoon reports:

Neat, right? Now you’re probably wondering how much all of this content (not to mention three of Steven Spielberg’s best films and that other one that we only grudgingly acknowledge) will set you back, huh? While the collection would normally cost $100, Amazon currently has a pre-order listing for the Collection at only $68.99. Though we’re not in the habit of directly promoting things that won’t likely result in big bags of cash for us, that’s a very solid deal and if you’re planning on picking up these movies anyway you can’t really do much better than handing your cash over to the lovely people at Amazon.

Does Indy die at the end of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
Indy looks at something in a cave in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

It's 2023, and Harrison Ford is 80 years old. Action stars from the 1980s -- Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone -- can now collect Social Security benefits, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they stopped performing death-defying stunts onscreen and enjoyed their well-earned retirement.

Ford, however, has other ideas, as he's starring in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, his fifth go-around as the beloved fedora-wearing adventurer. Nothing last forever, however, and with Ford publicly commenting that Destiny is the last time he will play one of his most famous characters, many fans have been left asking this: does Indiana Jones die at the end of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
So, does Indiana Jones die at the end of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’s ending, explained
Harrison Ford sits in an airplane in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).

Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) has never felt more like a man out of time than he does in his latest (and likely final) big-screen adventure, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. When the new film begins, Indy finds himself celebrating his retirement on the exact same day that the rest of New York City is holding a parade for the Apollo 11 astronauts. Indy’s disinterest in the historical achievements happening around him (in one memorable moment, he compares going to the moon to going to a desolate desert town like Reno) only makes his own sense of historical displacement all the more palpable. Everyone else may be looking forward, but he’s still stuck looking back.

Han Solo vs. Indiana Jones: Which one is Harrison Ford’s greatest role?
Han Solo and Indiana Jones side by side.

Few actors have given more to popular culture than Harrison Ford. Over the course of his decades in Hollywood, Ford has starred in everything from high-minded prestige movies to some of the most well-known blockbusters in the history of movies. In that career, Harrison has given us two different all-time great blockbuster characters.

First, he was Han Solo in the Star Wars films, and then, a few years later, he introduced us to Indiana Jones. Both franchises have had long legacies that extended all the way into the present, but the question of which character is Ford's greatest role is still hotly debated. Thankfully, we've come up with a foolproof way to arrive at an answer.
Which character is more central to the franchise?
