Where the Crawdads Sing trailer reveals love and murder

This summer, Sony Pictures will adapt Delia Owens’ bestselling novel, Where the Crawdads Sing. Daisy Edgar-Jones stars in the film as Catherine “Kya” Clarke, a young woman who was abandoned by her family in the early ’50s. But rather than become a ward of the state, Kya managed to fend for herself in the wilds of a North Carolina marsh. She could have been happy there, but Kya couldn’t keep the rest of the world away forever.

In the new trailer for the movie, we see that Kya is courted by two young men: Tate Walker (Taylor John Smith) and Chase Andrews (Harris Dickinson). But with love comes heartbreak, betrayal, and even murder. When one of Kya’s suitors is found dead in the marsh, she is quickly arrested and put on trial for murder. However, Kya has never allowed anyone to walk all over her, and she’s not about to start now.

“From the best-selling novel comes a captivating mystery. Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the ‘Marsh Girl’ haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.”

Christoph Waltz will join the fifth season of ‘Only Murders in the Building’
Christoph Waltz stands at the top of a staircase in The Consultant.

Over the course of its four seasons, Only Murders in the Building has had plenty of high-profile actors join the cast. Meryl Streep alone has three Oscars to her name, and now, Variety is reporting that the show is adding another two-time Oscar winner. Christoph Waltz is set to join the cast for its fifth season, joining Keegan Michael-Key as a new addition to the cast.

We don't know exactly who Waltz might be playing, or what will happen in the new season. Waltz is famous for playing wily tricksters who sometimes delight in the pain of others, though, and that's a role that would seem to make him a perfect fit for the world of Only Murders.

Sadly, we lost Gene Hackman this year, one of the greatest actors of our time. Relive one of his many great movies, Enemy of the State, in which he stars alongside Will Smith. Hackman is Edward “Brill” Lyle, a talented surveillance expert who frequently works with labor lawyer Robert Clayton Dean (Smith). When Dean finds himself in hot water while working a case against a mob boss that involves the NSA and threatens citizens, he reaches out to Brill for help.
The chemistry between Hackman and Smith is solid in Enemy of the State. The movie was a box office success and earned positive reviews, with critics lauding its writing, direction, and the talented lead cast. If you're looking for a good Hackman film to remember his fantastic film legacy, this one is a good choice before it's gone from the streamer.

Rampage (2018)
RAMPAGE - OFFICIAL TRAILER 1 [HD]
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson might be making appearances in WWE right now, but he’s still one of the biggest action movie stars with an impressive resume of films, including this one. A sci-fi monster movie, Rampage is about a pathogen that escapes from a space station and makes its way to George (motion captured by Jason Liles), a rare gorilla who grows larger and more menacing. His human friend Davis (Johnson), a former Special Forces soldier who saved George from poachers, must now work with doctor Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris), who originally developed the pathogen, to try and save George from government capture.
While Rampage received mixed reviews, it was a box-office success. Classify this one as a popcorn flick to watch on a lazy night at home when you just want to turn your brain off and be entertained with stunning visuals and thrilling action sequences.
