Recommended Videos

Hunt’s Photo & Video

520 Commonwealth Avenue

Boston, MA 02215

or

99 Mount Auburn Street (Harvard Square)

Cambridge, MA 02138

Specialty: Digital, film, processing, video, accessories

Hunt’s is very accessible, and has everything you need for your digital camera, or if you need to buy a new camera and accessories. The selection includes budget-level equipment for amateurs all the way up to high-dollar pro equipment.

Calumet

Location:

65 Bent Street

Cambridge, MA 02141

Specialty: Amateur and professional camera equipment, studio, accessories and video

Calumet has an enormous stock of equipment and accessories. If you can’t find it anywhere else, Calumet has it. Like Hunt’s, they carry basic to high end equipment for the amateur or professional.

Bromfield Camera

Location:

10 Bromfield Street

Boston MA 02108

This small, accessible store is in the heart of the financial district in downtown Boston. It carries every variety of camera equipment and accessories, from vintage to new, and also offers digital imaging services. Bromfield has been in business since 1965, and is still going strong, having been voted one of the best photo stores in Boston.

Colortek

Location:

727 Atlantic Avenue

Boston, MA 02111

Specialty: Digital and traditional imaging services, as well as film and digital accessories

Colortek makes a great stop for the traditional photographer who is still shooting film. Its technicians will develop and print from any media, and they do great enlargements. It’s one of the only Boston photo stores that offers professional services for both serious traditional and digital photographers, and the prices are reasonable, too.

EP Levine

Location:

219 Bear Hill Road

Waltham, MA.

Specialty: Professional photographic services and equipment, as well as studio services

We mainly recommend EP Levine for the serious photographer who is looking for great equipment to buy, or to rent a studio space to shoot. The reasonable prices and friendly, dedicated staff really set EP Levine apart from many competitors.
