Everyone who’s “it” in the heart of the fashion industry (in New York) will be there, celebrities included.

The CFDA is running an Instagram contest to award one winner the privilege of not only attending the award show, but to be its official Instagram photographer.

Upload a photo to Instagram using the hashtag: #CFDAready.” The judges will pick a winner based on the photo’s creativity, overall quality, and topical relevance.

Here’s another intriguing contest for fashionistas, but this one is strictly for “curvy” women. For the first time ever, a modeling agency is looking to Instagram to extend the opportunity for plus-sized models wanting to become the next hot plus sized model. So far 300 entries have been received, but the casting call is still running.

To enter, submit “selfies” on Instagram with the tag #MakeMeaModels1Curvy and make sure to mention @Models1_UK. And as a word of advice, make sure to show your good side without using the heavier filters. Models 1 says that the scouted plus sized models will be working exclusively with SLiNK magazine, described as a “bi-monthly fashion and lifestyle print and digital publication aimed at women size 14+.”

As with all casting calls, there are a few requirements:

  • Be age 18 and over
  • Must be female
  • Must be at least 5’9″
  • Must start at a dress size 12

The Prize: Modeling contract with Models 1 and exclusive shoots for SLiNK Magazine

If you’ve got up to two months to spare, or just want an extended vacation away from that stuffy cubicle, here’s your chance to travel as Hilton’s DoubleTree hotel ambassador. Hilton is using this contest, called DTour of a Lifetime, to find six travel-hungry people willing to be DoubleTree’s ambassador, meaning that you’ll have to do a bit of work like meeting locals and writing up stories for DTour. “Their ‘assignment’ is to capture and share the highlights of their journey on the DTour website via blog entries, photos, videos and social media posts,” says a Hilton rep.

The winners will be spreading the DoubleTree name to celebrate the opening of 60 new properties in 17 countries.

You have to admit that it’s not such a bad deal considering that you’re getting a free trip and free lodging at a DoubleTree hotel of course.

Now the important part – you enter the contest by submitting a video of yourself anywhere in the world “describing a not-to-be-missed travel spot from your hometown or latest vacation” to DoubleTree Hotel’s YouTube page. Accompanying the submission must be a description of the trip between 150 and 300 words (maybe to test out your writing abilities).

The Prize: Become DoubleTree’s brand ambassador between two weeks and two months to a continent or country. First prize awards are also awarded, which include four day trips to certain cities in the United States. For more information, we’d strongly recommend you to read the details.

Deadline: May 31, 2013 at 11:59 PM EST.
