Android smartphones can’t use our favorite smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 7, but the existence of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch range is an excellent alternative for those who forsake iPhones. The newest inclusions in the Samsung Galaxy Watch range — the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro — are now available for purchase, and as you might expect, both are exceptional smartwatches. If you’re looking for a new Android smartwatch, these two watches should be the first on your list to consider.

So how do you buy one? Pre-orders have ended, and people will now have received the brand-new watches they pre-ordered. But even if you missed the pre-order rush, there are plenty to still grab. Here’s how you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

Buying from Samsung

You can get up to $240 off when you buy from Samsung and trade in a smartwatch. Only the top flagship smartwatches will get $240, but you’re guaranteed to get at least $125 from an eligible trade-in. That’s not a bad deal if you have an old smartwatch gathering dust in a drawer. You’ll also get the chance to grab special golf-themed editions of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro when you buy from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Wi-Fi only $450 upfront, $18.76 a month for 24 months, or $112.50 every two weeks for two months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Wi-Fi and LTE $500 upfront, $20.84 a month for 24 months, or $125 every two weeks for two months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm, Wi-Fi only $280 upfront, $11.67 a month for 24 months, or $70 every two weeks for two months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm, Wi-Fi only $310 upfront, $12.92 a month for 24 months, or $77.50 every two weeks for two months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $330 upfront, $13.76 a month for 24 months, or $82.50 every two weeks for two months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $360 upfront, $15.01 a month for 24 months, or $90 every two weeks for two months.

Buying from AT&T

As it’s a network carrier, AT&T is only offering the LTE models of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. It’s also offering the watches on 36-month contracts, which makes them a tad more affordable if you’re a little worried about the size of monthly payments.

There are trade-ins available, but you’ll be trading them in for an AT&T promotional card rather than directly trading it for the watch. As such, the only limit is on the value of the device you’re trading in, and an iPhone 13 Pro Max will net you a $650 card you can use to buy your device outright or pay your monthly bills.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Wi-Fi and LTE $500 upfront or $13.89 a month for 36 months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $330 upfront or $9.17 a month for 36 months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $360 upfront or $10 a month for 24 months.

Buying from T-Mobile

Love the Uncarrier and can’t wait to get your Galaxy Watch on it? You can buy your Galaxy Watch 5 Pro from T-Mobile, and get another one for free as well when you add a line. That’s a solid deal and great if you’re looking to buy more than one (or just want a gift for later). For the Galaxy Watch 5, there’s a straight money-off deal that knocks down the monthly payments quite significantly when you add a watch line. For the 40mm Galaxy Watch 5, it’s $99 off, while for the 44mm variant, it’s $149 off.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Wi-Fi and LTE $500 upfront or $20.84 a month for 24 months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $330 upfront or $4.12 a month for 24 months ($13.75 a month without the $99 discount).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $360 upfront or $6.20 a month for 24 months ($15 a month without the $149 discount).

Buying from Verizon

Verizon is offering some fairly tasty deals. Not only can you spread your purchase across 36 months, reducing monthly payments, but you can also save up to $180 by trading in a smartwatch whether you’re adding a new line or upgrading an existing one.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Wi-Fi and LTE $500 upfront or $13.88 a month for 36 months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $360 upfront or $9.99 a month for 36 months.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm, Wi-Fi and LTE $330 upfront or $9.16 a month for 36 months.

Ray-Ban Meta glasses owners are getting less free use out of one of the glasses' AI features starting this month. Conversation Focus, which isolates and amplifies the voice of the person a wearer is talking to in loud settings, has been capped at three hours of use per month for anyone who doesn't pay for Meta One Premium. Meta confirmed the change on a support page this week, which also notes that a subscription is not required to use the AI glasses in general.

For decades, we've interacted with computers using keyboards, mice, and touchscreens. OASIS thinks it's time for something different. The startup has unveiled the OASIS 1, a smart ring designed for private AI dictation, letting users whisper naturally while a built-in microphone transcribes their words. And when the AI inevitably gets something wrong? There's a tiny trackpad built into the ring to fix it.

Samsung is working on a new Galaxy Ring, and the most important upgrade may come from what happens after the ring collects health signals in the background.

Hon Pak, who leads Samsung's digital health team, told Forbes that a next generation ring is in development. Samsung hasn't announced the name, launch timing, price, regions, or specs, so Galaxy Ring 2 remains a useful shorthand rather than a confirmed product name.
