Samsung S95D OLED review
Zeke Jones / Digital Trends

Even though OLED TVs have been around for quite a while, they’re still expensive, especially if you go for one of the larger sizes like this 77-inch one from Samsung. And while it is pricey, it’s one of the latest models from Samsung, so it’s packed with high-end specs like both HDR 10+ and HLG, a 120 Hz refresh rate, an AI upscaler for older content, and it even has a special anti-glare coating. There are also a couple of completely new technologies here, like the “Real Depth Enhancer,” which essentially increases background contrast to make the image look like it has more depth, which can be a hit or miss.

When do Labor Day OLED TV sales start?

As you can see, Labor Day sales are underway already, since Labor Day was yesterday, the 2n od September. Typically, we see Labor Day sales joining up together with back-to-school sales, so you can see a lot of discounts on a lot of different products, and that includes OLED TVs up until today and potentially the next few days as well.

Generally, the deals we’ve picked out above are incredibly unlikely to get any cheaper than they already are, even though we’re still expecting a few good deals today and tomorrow. While you can certainly wait to see if anything better pops up near the end of the day, or as retailers try and get rid of extra stock in the next few days, it’s unlikely you’re going to find a lot better offers, so be sure to snag anything you like today while you still can.

Should you shop Labor Day TV deals or wait until Black Friday?

Talking of timing, should you buy now or should you wait until Black Friday? Labor Day TV deals certainly look tempting but on the other hand, we all know that Black Friday tends to reap the biggest discounts of the year.

Much of what to do depends on if you’re able to wait. If your TV has just died or you’re in desperate need of an upgrade, it makes sense to buy now from one of the Labor Day TV sales rather than wait until Black Friday. Black Friday might only be a few months away but that can be a long time if it means no good TV time.

You should also think about your finances. Generally, we all feel a little overwhelmed financially over the holidays season. You need to account for buying gifts, plenty of festive food, and maybe even plan for travel as well. Around Labor Day, those demands are likely to be less so which means that buying now could be a much smarter move.

There’s no one answer to this. Instead, think about what works best for your situation. Only you know what you can afford and when the best time is, as well as how urgently you need a TV. Have a good think before you commit.

Nothing’s next budget earbuds are coming for boring AirPods clones
Nothing Ear (3a) may bring back some personality to budget earbuds
Nothing Ear (a) deal

Budget wireless earbuds are the most popular kind of wearable tech in the market. But just like smartphones, a lot of these hearables basically look quite similar to one another. Nothing has actively worked on avoiding that trap, and its next affordable earbuds are expected to keep the track going.

The company has just confirmed that Nothing Ear (3a) will launch on July 7 at 11:00 BST, sharing the stage with the upcoming Nothing Phone (4b). The teaser does not reveal the full spec sheet yet, but it does show the earbuds in four colors: White, Black, Yellow, and Pink. Nothing’s audio lineup has always leaned on transparent styling and playful color choices to stand out in a sea of AirPods clones.

The new update adds Bluetooth LE Audio's Gaming Audio Profile, giving Sony's premium noise-canceling cans a lower-latency trick for compatible gaming devices.
Sony WH-1000XM6.

Sony's WH-1000XM6 gaming mode is rolling out through firmware version 3.1.5, adding support for Bluetooth LE Audio's Gaming Audio Profile, or GMAP. The same update also includes general performance improvements, so WH-1000XM6 owners have a real reason to open the Sony Sound Connect app.

It's a handy upgrade for headphones built more for commutes or office silence than late-night matches. Bluetooth lag can make games feel faintly wrong, especially when a footstep or button press lands a fraction too late.

The Amazon listing confirms the $699.99 price, while the display remains temporarily out of stock.

Acer’s 1,000Hz gaming monitor has moved from announcement to Amazon listing. The XV273U F5 is priced at $699.99, giving competitive players a real number to weigh before one of the fastest displays headed to North America actually ships.

Availability is still the problem. Amazon lists the monitor as temporarily out of stock, and Acer has previously pointed to a Q4 North America launch window instead of a firm release date.
