THQ Wants You For Supreme Commander

Game publisher THQ has announced the availability of Supreme Commander for Windows PCs, a real-time strategy game set in futuristic 37th century battlefields developed by Gas Powered Games and famed RTS designer Chris Taylor.

“Supreme Commander is enormous in every sense of the word—from its unprecedented scope and scale to its superior command and control functions—this is RTS gaming on a whole new scale,” said Chris Taylor, creative director and CEO, Gas Powered Games. “Our goal to create a game that takes strategy to a whole new level has been reached, and we are very excited to release it to the world.”

Set in the 37th century, three warring factions have split the galaxy apart in their efforts to end the 1000 year-old Infinite War. Players take control of “countless” sea, air, and ground units, coordinating them all through a Theatre of War zoom function which enables players to scroll out to see the entire campaign or zoom in to individual actions. Supreme Commander offers both intense single-player, story-driven campaigns as well as online multiplayer battles.

Supreme Commander is priced at $49.99, and is available at retail outlets and for downlad purchase from direct2drive.com. It requires Windows XP SP2 or Vista, at least a 1.8 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and a video card with 128 MB of video ram and DirectX9 Vertex Shader/ Pixel Shader 2.0 support—but more horsepower and more memory will always help.

Jackbox Naughty Pack is the M-rated party game you’ve been waiting for

There won’t be a new Jackbox Party Pack game this year; instead, we’ll be getting a mature-rated game titled Jackbox Naughty Pack.

Jackbox Games made this announcement during Monday’s ID@Xbox Showcase with a short comedic trailer. Not much is being revealed about this package just yet, but Jackbox Games is confirming that this will be the studio's first M-rated title. It will contain three raunchy games for players to pick between that are “full of spicy surprises and maybe even some familiar faces.” Jackbox Party Pack games typically feature five games, so hopefully, these Jackbox Naughty Pack games have more heft to them to make up for there being fewer of them.

3 things I want in Fallout 5 after watching Amazon’s Fallout series

Fallout has been the watercooler TV show this month, an impressive feat for a video game adaptation. Although Bethesda doesn't have any new Fallout games to release alongside it, the Amazon Prime series has reinvigorated interest in Fallout, with all its titles seeing notable player count increases. For now, we’ll have to be content with a Fallout 4 current-gen upgrade, but I’ll admit that my mind is drifting to thinking about Fallout 5.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard has teased that Fallout 5 will be the next project Bethesda Game Studios works on after Elder Scrolls 6. While that likely means its release is at least a decade away unless Bethesda fast-tracks it, I still find it fun to theorize about where a true single-player Fallout 5 could go next. These three particular things are what I want to see the most.

From the moment you begin your adventure in Fallout: New Vegas, you've already cheated death. Your first playthrough of the game should be done as the developers intended, though maybe with a couple of mods to make the experience a little smoother, but nothing that breaks the game. That said, it's been over a decade since the game came out, so odds are you've already played through the intended way at least once. How to enter console commands
Opening up the command console to type in your cheats is just a single keystroke away. While in the game (not paused), hit the ~ key located below your escape key. This will remove your HUD and bring up the prompt to type in any of the below cheats.
