UK gamers offered Christmas dinner in a tin

Too busy playing GTA V or spending time with your new games console to prepare any food on Christmas Day? UK games retailer Game has the answer with the Christmas Tinner, a layered block of all the traditional festive foods that won’t take you long to devour.

You start off with scrambled egg and bacon, which presumably represents Christmas breakfast. The first layer is followed by mince pie, turkey and potatoes, gravy, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts or broccoli with stuffing, roast carrots and parsnips, with Christmas pudding to finish.

“According to new research almost half (43 percent) of the nation’s gamers plan to spend the majority of Christmas Day playing on their new consoles and games,” says Game in a press release. “The Christmas Tinner enables gamers to get their teeth into gameplay all day without having to miss out on a mouthful of their favorite food or do the washing up.”

The Christmas Tinner was created by design student Chris Godfrey. “I tried to ensure when creating the menu that all the flavors complemented one another,” he says, “and it was designed so that gamers can eat one layer at a time, starting with breakfast and finishing off with Christmas Pudding — the perfect Christmas Day meal without any of the fuss.”

At the moment the product is only on sale at one Game location but the retailer has said it will roll the Christmas Tinner out to other stores if there’s sufficient demand. Hungry gamers will have to fork out £1.99 (around $3.30) for the can.

If you're the kind of person who plans vacations around vintage arcades, hunts down rare pinball machines, or misses that one table you played years ago, there's now a surprisingly useful tool built just for you.

Called Pinball Map, the free website and mobile app does exactly what its name suggests. It helps players locate public pinball machines almost anywhere in the world, whether they're tucked away inside dedicated arcades, neighborhood bars, restaurants, museums, breweries, or even campgrounds. Think of it as Google Maps, but instead of helping you find coffee shops, it points you to your next pinball game.

Asus has started rolling out the 2026 ROG Strix G18 globally, and the easiest way to describe it is as a slightly toned-down version of the ridiculous ROG Strix Scar 18. It keeps the same 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor but tops out at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU instead of the Scar’s RTX 5090. (via Notebookcheck)
