G-Power’s 850-hp BMW M5 Hurricane wagon does 225 mph and laps around Lambos

Station wagons have always been a quirky class of cars. And the class has suffered a serious blow with success of crossover SUVs. G-Power, a German tuning company, has recently given drivers a new reason to love the wagon: BMW M5 Hurricane RR Touring. The aptly named Hurricane is a beast of a car that delivers an earth-shattering 850 horsepower. Now that’s what I call a power wagon.

Along with stabling 850 horses under the hood, the wagon boasts 582 pound-feet of torque and a top speed capped at 225 miles per hour, which takes the car from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. The vehicle sits on a set of 20-inch Silverstone RS wheels sporting Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Also included is a coil over suspension with nine-way adjustability and a new braking system composed of 396 mm front and 380 mm rear discs with six and four piston calipers.

The interior only gets more epic, featuring full leather seats accented with Alcantara and a dashboard draped in carbon fiber along with a high-tech multimedia system integrating iPads, iMacs, Apple TV, and other similar tech. G-Power also offers an exclusive app to control all of the electrically controlled components from your phone.

With all of this bling and bone-crushing speed, this M5 touring is sure to make everyone happy. You can live out your childhood poster dream of cruising the streets in a four-wheeled jet, while being able to take the kids to soccer practice. Behold the power of the performance station wagon.

The line between your smartphone and your car continues to blur. Volvo has announced that it is rolling out an over-the-air software update that brings Apple Music directly to the infotainment systems of more than 2 million vehicles worldwide. Instead of relying on Apple CarPlay or plugging in an iPhone, eligible drivers will be able to stream music natively from their car's built-in system, making Apple Music another integrated feature of Volvo's software experience.

The update is arriving for a wide range of Volvo models, including the EX90, ES90, XC90, S90, V90, XC60, S60, V60, XC40, EX40 and EC40, covering model year 2020 onwards. Availability, however, may vary depending on the vehicle.

Self-driving cars have gotten pretty good at driving. The harder problem is teaching them to drive safely in situations nobody planned for. We have heard horror stories of self-driving cars, behaving erratically in emergency situations, often times delaying first responders from reaching the scene.

A team at Seoul National University, led by professor Jun Won Choi from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, thinks they have cracked part of that puzzle with a new AI model called SafeDrive. The research was recently selected as a highlight paper at CVPR 2026, a distinction that goes only to roughly 3% of all submissions.
