Lenovo’s new Android tablets hit the $130 mark (not bad)

Lenovo is bringing its budget A-series line of Android tablets to the United States: the A7-50/40, the A8, and the A10.

All three have 1280 x 800 pixel screen resolutions, as well as the same 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK8121 quad-core processor that is complemented by 1GB of RAM. Onboard storage tops out at 16GB, though it is expandable up to 32GB. You will find a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel camera on all three models, with all three powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. According to Lenovo, they will all be upgraded to KitKat, though no timetable was given.

Where they begin to differentiate is with screen size. The A7-50 is equipped with a 7-inch screen, while the A8 and A10 will have 8-inch and 10-inch screens, respectively. Battery size, as expected, increases as you go up the ladder, with the A10’s battery life rated at 8 hours on a full charge. In terms of speakers, however, the A10 packs two front-facing Dolby Audio speakers. The A7-50 and A8, meanwhile, only have one speaker each.

The A7-50 will retail for $130, while the A8 and A10 will go for $180 and $250, respectively. Interestingly, Lenovo made a Bluetooth keyboard meant for use with the A10. You can purchase the A10 bundled with the keyboard for $300.

Motorola’s new Android phone looks amazing, but there’s a catch
motorola edge 50 Pro rear shell.

Earlier today, Motorola introduced a new premium phone in the Edge series, and from the looks of it, this could be one of the most value-centric phones of 2024. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which flaunts a fresh design language, marked its arrival in the Indian market with a price tag of roughly $385. For a limited spell, it will be sold at approximately $335, which is nothing short of stunning.

At that asking price, you won’t find a phone in the U.S. market that can match the hardware prowess and the fine looks of Motorola’s latest phone. We are talking about sleek curved glass aesthetics, a metallic frame, and a vegan leather finish available in a beautiful lavender shade.
