Prime Day is packed with gaming keyboards that blur together under the same rainbow lighting. The 8BitDo Retro 87-Key Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has a cleaner hook: original Xbox-style nostalgia, modern wireless options, and a sale price that makes the whole retro bit easier to defend.

8BitDo Retro 87-Key Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Xbox nostalgia without collector pricing

The 8BitDo Retro 87-Key Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – Xbox Edition is the kind of sale item I’d actually pause on. It’s a compact 87-key mechanical board with transparent green Xbox-inspired styling, RGB lighting, programmable keys, hot-swappable switches, a rechargeable battery, and support for 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C.

Amazon currently lists the Xbox Edition at $71.29, down from a $95.99 typical price. That’s $24.70 off, or 26%. There’s also a regular price of $119.99 shown on the page, but the safer comparison is the typical price Amazon displays next to the discount. Even with that more conservative math, $71.29 lands well for a niche mechanical board with this much personality.

I’d point this toward PC gamers, Xbox fans, retro-tech collectors, and anyone who wants a desk setup that doesn’t look like every other black gaming keyboard. The 87-key layout keeps the board more compact, so you’ll have more mouse space without dropping all the way down to a tiny keyboard. You’re not getting a number pad, though, so spreadsheet-heavy users may want something larger.

The design does a lot of work here. 8BitDo built this version around the transparent green look of the original Xbox, and it includes an integrated Xbox button for launching the Windows Game Bar. That detail gives the board a more intentional feel than a generic mechanical keyboard with a themed shell slapped on top. Amazon shows a 4.7-star rating from 400 reviews, which gives the rating enough volume to feel less flimsy.

The good and the annoying:

Pros
  • Perfect 2001 nostalgia aesthetic
  • Vibrant per-key RGB lighting
  • Versatile three-way wireless connectivity
  • Premium hot-swappable mechanical switches
  • Satisfying tactile macro buttons
  • Extremely sturdy build quality
Cons
  • No adjustable keyboard kickstands
  • Lacks a dedicated numpad
  • Software customizability feels basic
  • Large footprint takes space

I rounded up the best Prime Day 2026 laptop deals, and these five are the ones I’d buy
Memory costs are up, laptop prices are following, and Prime Day 2026 might be your best window before both climb further.
Prime Day Deals on Apple Products

If you’ve been keeping up with recent laptop launches, you’ve probably noticed just how expensive they’ve become. Laptop prices have been climbing for the past year, and there’s little indication that they’re coming down anytime soon. That makes the ongoing Prime Day 2026 sale an exceptionally good time to buy a new laptop.

Many of the discounts apply to devices at or near their original launch prices, making the savings more meaningful. I’ve sifted through several Amazon Prime Day laptop deals, but only these five hold up at their discounted prices. To make things easier for you, I’ve arranged them from the most affordable option to the most expensive.

Remote and hybrid work have changed what people expect from a laptop. Most professionals are no longer working from a single desk all day. A typical workflow now involves morning Zoom or Microsoft Teams calls, browser tabs running alongside Slack and email, and moving between home, the office, cafés, and even airports without disrupting productivity.

Bitdefender has launched RealCheck, a deepfake detector built for the moment when fake video scams show up as ordinary clips. The standalone app is available now for Android and iOS, and it can analyze uploaded files or links from digital platforms.

RealCheck checks a video’s authenticity and screens for scam intent in the same report. That includes signals tied to financial fraud, credential theft, impersonation, and reputational attacks.
