I dug past the flashy Prime Day OLED TV discounts, and these two actually make sense

OLED TV deals live or die by the model number, screen size, seller, and actual discount. These two 65-inch Prime Day picks are where I’d start because they come from Samsung and LG, land around the same $1,200 mark, and make the buying choice pretty simple.

Samsung 65-inch OLED S90F

The Samsung 65-inch OLED S90F is the first deal I’d check if gaming is high on the list. It’s down to $1,197.99 from $1,697.99, which makes it 29% off.

The main draw is Motion Xcelerator 144Hz support. That gives this OLED a stronger pitch for console gaming, PC gaming, and fast sports than a basic 60Hz set. You also get Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, 4K upscaling, and HDR+, so it still covers the premium TV basics. Built-in Alexa support is included too, because apparently TVs need side hustles now.

Amazon lists a 4.4-star average from 458 ratings, with more than 400 bought in the past month. The screenshot also shows that it ships from and is sold by Amazon.com, which removes one common Prime Day headache. At this price, Samsung has the sharper discount and the cleaner gaming argument.

LG 65-inch OLED evo C5

The LG 65-inch OLED evo C5 lands almost exactly beside the Samsung at $1,199. It’s down from a typical price of $1,396.99, so the 14% discount is smaller, but the C-series reputation does a lot of work here.

This is the home-theater default pick. You get OLED evo, Dolby Vision, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, Filmmaker Mode, and 4K AI Super Upscaling. That feature mix makes it easy to recommend for movies, streaming, and general living-room use. It’s not as gaming-focused as the Samsung, but it feels like the calmer buy if you want a TV that’s good at almost everything.

The Amazon crowd is stronger here too. The LG has a 4.5-star average from more than 1,300 ratings, is marked as a No. 1 best seller in OLED TVs, and has more than 1,000 bought in the past month. I’d take the Samsung for gaming value, but the LG C5 looks like the safer all-around OLED buy.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 has been one of the easiest premium headphones to recommend for years, but Prime Day has made the decision even easier. Right now, the wireless noise-canceling headphones are down to just $198, a huge drop from their $399.99 list price and the lowest price we've ever seen.
