There’s a $99 bedroom TV, affordable QLEDs, and one considerably less sensible temptation for the living room

Best Prime Day Amazon Deals
This story is part of the Digital Trends Prime Day 2026 coverage

It’s easy to talk yourself into more TV than a room needs. These five Amazon deals give that decision some useful price points, whether the job is filling a spare bedroom, moving up to a larger screen, or finding something nicer to look at when the TV is off.

Insignia 40-inch F40 – $99 (17% off)

Sometimes the assignment is simply “put a TV in that room.” This $99 Insignia handles that, with streaming built in so there’s no separate player to buy. The compromise is its 1080p resolution. For a few episodes before bed, that may be enough. For the screen everyone gathers around on movie night, I’d spend more on one of the 4K options below.

Amazon Ember 43-inch 4-Series – $199.99 (39% off)

The Ember brings 4K into the picture without requiring much room for the TV itself. Its 43-inch screen suits a smaller space, and the Ambient Experience gives it something to display between shows. There’s one condition to the $199.99 price: Prime membership. Eligible shoppers save $130 against its $329.99 list price, making this the explicitly marked early Prime deal in the lineup.

Toshiba 50-inch M450 QLED – $229.99 (18% off)

For another $30 over the Ember, the Toshiba moves up to 50 inches and adds quantum-dot color. That’s a tempting jump if there’s space for it. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ Adaptive are welcome, though neither badge promises spectacular brightness on its own. The more concrete limit is its 60Hz panel: gamers hoping to play at 120 frames per second should look elsewhere.

Hisense 55-inch E6 Cinema QLED – $296.99 (14% off)

The Hisense squeezes a 55-inch QLED screen under the $300 mark. Moving up from the Toshiba M450 costs $67, so this is where measuring the available space becomes more useful than comparing discount percentages. A light sensor also adjusts the picture as room lighting changes. The $48 saving won’t make the headline on its own, but the size could make the decision.

Toshiba 65-inch G700 ArtVision – $1,099.99 (45% off)

A large black rectangle isn’t everyone’s idea of living-room decor. The G700 addresses that with an included frame and Art Gallery Mode, giving it something to do after the credits roll. Its native 165Hz panel adds gaming appeal, too. The discount takes $900 off its $1,999.99 list price, although this remains a splurge: it costs more than the other four TVs combined.

You can now watch Instagram Reels on Apple TV, because why not?
Instagram's new TV app supports Reels, longer videos, and live shows, plus cross-device playback so users can pick up where they left off.
Instagram App on Apple TV main featured

Instagram is making its way to yet another screen, and this time, Apple TV is getting a taste of the Reels rabbit hole. The company has launched a dedicated Instagram app for Apple TV, bringing Reels, longer videos, and live shows to the big screen. So, if watching one quick clip on a phone somehow turns into an hour of scrolling, there's now a much larger screen for that.

Audio-Technica is calling these $3,800 wooden headphones its finest ever
The hand-finished ATH-AWX7000 uses Kiso cypress, Echizen lacquer, and a new composite diaphragm.
Audio Technica ATH-AWX7000 wooden headphones launched

Audio-Technica, a brand well known for making some of the best studio and professional headphones on the market, has just come out with the ATH-AWX7000, which the company itself claims to be its "finest headphones ever." The new flagship closed-back headphone has debuted at an eye-watering price of $3,799. It combines hand-finished Japanese woodwork with a newly developed 58mm driver.

The earcups are made from Kiso cypress, a prized wood historically used for Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. Each housing is finished by hand with traditional Echizen lacquer, which brings out the grain and is expected to darken over time. The frame and sliders are finished in a deep navy kachi-iro shade traditionally associated with samurai.
