Headphone shopping gets expensive quickly. These four Amazon discounts run from $69.99 to $298, but the choice comes down to more than budget: how the headphones fit, how often they need charging, and whether listening means Bluetooth, a cable, or both.

Skullcandy Icon ANC – $69.99 (30% off)

The Icon ANC covers the basics for everyday trips: noise cancellation, a folding design, and some protection against sweat and splashes. Saving $30 helps, too. The bigger question is whether the fit works for you. These cushions sit directly on the ears; anyone who dislikes that pressure should look at the over-ear alternatives below, even if it means spending more.

Battery lifeUp to 50 hours with ANC; 60 hours without
Water resistanceIPX4 sweat and splash resistance
ConnectivityBluetooth multipoint and 3.5mm wired input

Beats Studio Pro – $226.70 (24% off)

The Studio Pro’s USB-C port has a second job: playing lossless audio from compatible devices. That’s useful for someone who plugs into a computer at their desk, then switches to Bluetooth when heading out. At $226.70, I’d consider these for that flexibility. There’s a conventional headphone cable connection, too, so Bluetooth doesn’t have to handle every listening session.

Battery lifeUp to 24 hours with ANC or Transparency; 40 hours with both off

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless – $249.95 (17% off)

There are enough things to remember to charge. The Momentum 4 makes that chore less frequent, with long battery life even when noise cancellation is running. Its app also lets listeners adjust the EQ and personalize the sound instead of settling for the default tuning. The 17% discount is modest; battery endurance is the better argument for spending $249.95 here.

Battery lifeUp to 60 hours with Bluetooth and ANC

Sony WH-1000XM5 – $298 (25% off)

Keeping a phone and computer connected at the same time saves some Bluetooth fiddling, and the WH-1000XM5 pairs that convenience with noise cancellation for the commute. The $101.99 reduction brings the price below $300, though this is still the most expensive pair here. It’s also an older model, so the purchase comes down to whether those everyday features cover what’s needed.

Skullcandy is now part of Bose, but its bold identity isn’t going anywhere
Bold style, meet big sound. Skullcandy just joined the Bose family.
Skullcandy headphone man

If you own a pair of Skullcandy earbuds, there’s a good chance you’ve already heard Bose without realizing it. Now, the two companies are making things official. Bose has bought Skullcandy, the brand that made a name for itself with eye-catching headphones and a whole lot of attitude.

This deal didn’t come out of nowhere. For the past few years, Skullcandy has been packing Bose’s audio tech into its earbuds and headphones under the Sound by Bose label. That team-up worked so well that Bose decided to go all in and bring Skullcandy into the family.

Spotify rolls out its first native car app for cable-free listening, but only Audi drivers get it for now
Spotify app on Audi

I’ve sacrificed too many charging cables to my car’s USB port (even the braided ones). All so my playlist could follow me down the road.

Spotify just launched a fully native car app that runs on the car’s infotainment system, with no phone or cable required. However, it’s only available for Audi owners right now.

Apple Music just got a new logo. And yeah, it’s inspired by sound and liquid.
What if you blast music through a clear liquid? You get ripples that inspire a new design language for Apple Music.
New Apple Music Logo

Apple just revealed a new brand identity for Apple Music. The logo with its iconic pink and white color scheme is gone. The design is almost identical, but we now have a monochrome look for the icon, with a black tone set against a white backdrop. Of course, there are also elements of liquid glass alongside the corners. That's just about it. What's fascinating is the story and how Apple actually landed on this visual.

The company says it worked with musician Fred again.. and NEST Acoustics to come up with the new design. Interestingly, in a brief video, Apple says that it actually used music to create the visuals. The video shows an Apple Music logo-shaped item submerged in a clear liquid, with ripples periodically appearing on the surface. " Essentially, the idea was to create the perfect sound wave. We take a frequency, and we play it through a rig," says the company. Take a look at the video below:
