I can see clearly now: Transparent home gadgets that give you an inside-look

In the final episode of 30 Rock, Jack Donaghy has a flash of inspiration when he invents the clear dishwasher. While we’re still waiting for an inside look at what goes on when we press the start button (okay, you can look at a prototype of a transparent dishwasher in action here), there are a few transparent appliances on the market — beyond the usual blender or food processor. Some of them are all about looking good (do you really need clear speakers?), while others fulfill a function: It’s pretty helpful to make sure your toast isn’t burning with a see-through toaster. Right now, it’s still quite pricey to purchase some of these, but we have hopes that one day a clearer future will be more affordable.
