Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number kicks off its gory murder spree on March 10, 2015 for Linux, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Windows.

The sequel, originally announced in 2013, picks up in the aftermath of Jacket’s bloody rampage in the first Hotline Miami. The spilled blood has kicked off a chain reaction of violence and retribution, with various factions across Miami joining the fray. Characters from different factions offer different abilities, opening up new and variable styles of play.

Developer Dennaton Games and publisher Devolver Digital have partnered with Overkill Software to include a selection of Hotline Miami 2 masks and a Jacket character pack for the cooperative heist game, Payday 2. The Hotline Miami Mask Pack will be available for anyone that owns the standard edition of Hotline Miami 2, adding six new masks to Payday 2. The Jacket Character Pack is for fans who buy the Digital Special Edition, adding on additional masks, weapons, and Jacket himself as a playable character. This is the second collaboration between the developers, following another Hotline Miami-themed DLC in 2014.

Both the standard and special editions are available now for pre-order on Steam, GOG, and Humble. The Digital Special Edition includes an exclusive Hotline Miami 2: Remix EP, featuring six remixed tracks from the game’s soundtrack.

The developer teased the game’s release earlier in February with a cryptic tweet pointing toward a Miami telephone number. People who called were greeted by the following message: “We are 50 blessings. Together we March [echoed a few times] into the future. You have reached a wrong number.” Fans speculated that the emphasized “March,” along with “ext 10” in the original tweet, pointed toward a March 10 release, which has now been confirmed.

Phantom Blade Zero hands-on: An extraordinary game with unbelievable combat that I can’t get enough of
Every fight feels like a beautifully choreographed martial arts movie, except I'm the one controlling every move.
Phantom Blade Zero poster

We have had a considerable number of high-profile game releases this year, but none so far have had as much hype behind them as Phantom Blade Zero. The source of all that hype was a 2023 trailer highlighting its fluid kung-fu-derived sword combat. Considering that, at the time of writing this piece, there are over 700,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, on a weekday no less, I think it's safe to say that the hype has converted into gamers actually showing up for the game. I have sunk around 10 hours into this game today, and so far, it has been nothing short of an absolute masterclass in action combat.

Two friends have used Claude to help bring the open-source PS2 emulator PCSX2 to a browser. Their project, TabStationToo, has been tested with games including GTA San Andreas and Final Fantasy XII.

The developers say Claude did most of the programming while they directed the work and tested the results. It’s still experimental, but games run locally without installing a desktop emulator.
