L.A. Noire racks up 4 million in sales, will come to PC

PC gamers rejoice! Rockstar has confirmed that L.A. Noire is coming to PC this fall. Previously available only on the PS3 and Xbox 360, the hit detective game will get some enhancements for its computer debut including keyboard remapping and 3D support. This news comes on the heels of Rockstar revealing that it has sold 4 million copies of the game since its debut on May 17, 2011. An impressive feat for a brand new series.

L.A. Noire puts you in the role of a detective in the 1940s, paying homage to classic detective movies. The game has been critically acclaimed for its mix of open world and detective gameplay. Thanks to an advanced facial animation system, character facial animation is much quicker and more realistic than any game we’ve seen allowing you to actually read people and attempt to determine if they’re lying as you interview them. We gave L.A. Noire a 9 out of 10 when we reviewed it for the PlayStation 3.

Labrinth is spending a night at an Apple Store making music on the new MacBook Pro

Apple has teamed up with Labrinth for an overnight recording session to showcase the new MacBook Pro's music production capabilities.

A lot goes into making music before it reaches our ears. There are the instruments, recording equipment, production software, and sometimes an awful lot of experimenting before a song actually takes shape. Apple is bringing that entire process out of the recording studio to promote its new MacBook Pro, and it has enlisted British singer-songwriter Labrinth for a rather unusual musical experiment.

Labrinth, who has produced music for some of the biggest names in the industry, will spend an entire night at Apple's Tower Theatre store in Los Angeles, creating a song from scratch using the new MacBook Pro and Logic Pro. The whole session will be broadcast live on YouTube, where fans can watch the musician work his magic, while also getting an opportunity to ask questions.

In a new support document, Apple confirms that iOS 27.3 will begin checking content shared through public “Anyone with the link” iCloud links for harmful material (via Apple). While the developer beta is already available, the stable build is expected in December 2026.
