Add as a preferred source on Google

Presidents’ Day is a nice three-day reprieve from work, and it’s also a nice excuse to do some shopping. And Dell is certainly ready, with business laptops, monitors, and more discounted on their website and across Amazon. We’ve picked out our favorite deals, largely from the best Dell products out there — and products we’ve personally reviewed or have hands-on experiences with. Here, we present that list to you so you can get some of the best laptop deals and monitor deals around. Remember that as these deals are coming out around the Presidents’ Day holiday (though not all of them have explicit “Presidents’ Day” markings) they very well might end soon, so plan your purchases accordingly.

The Dell XPS Desktop is a solid choice of desktop for those that want a pre-built desktop computer — it has a solid design, isn’t bedecked in awkwardly bright RGB lights, and has easily accessible ports. Before purchasing this, be sure to check out our Dell XPS Desktop 8960 review, but keep in mind that some of the components are different on the configuration being sold. The version being sold for just $1,300 today has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Still, you’ll have a very similar experience in regards to the overall review, which praises the machine’s minimal bloatware and performance.

The Dell XPS line of laptops is known for their unique and comfy keyboards, sleek designs, and overall hardcore power. Whether it outright said or not, it is obvious they are gunning to be MacBook alternatives for those of us not deeply embedded into the Apple ecosystem. And, well, the Dell XPS 14 is no different, becoming one of the last XPS laptops ever. Our Dell XPS 14 review features a laptop nearly identical to the one on sale here, though it talks a bit more about the OLED screen version. The bottom line: Get this laptop for a super powerful notebook PC with a premium keyboard, all at just $1,700 while this deal lasts.

You might assume most listeners would pick a real human voice over a synthetic one, but a new study says otherwise. Edison Research at SSRS surveyed 1,005 fiction audiobook fans in May 2026 for a study commissioned by AI audio company Spoken. The twist is that listeners rated the AI narration higher, and they did not even know it was AI until after they heard it (via Variety).

AI can spot what a child is doing, but figuring out what it means still takes a human expert
Kid using an iPad

Google's Gemini models are becoming remarkably good at understanding videos, images, and conversations. A new study shows AI can even identify subtle behaviors in parent-child interactions with impressive accuracy. But here's the catch: while Gemini can reliably observe what is happening, researchers say it should not be trusted to decide what those behaviors actually mean.

Worth noting is that the study used Gemini 2.5 Pro, which is not Google's most advanced AI. That means future models could improve the results even further. Even so, the researchers argue that human experts remain essential.
