Microsoft Lights Up Xbox Video Marketplace

It’s been one year since Microsoft launched its Xbox 360 video game console, and, as promised, today Microsoft launched its Xbox Live Video Marketplace for U.S. customers, offering Xbox 360 owners pay-to-download movies and television shows—some in HD format—featuring content from CBS, MTV, Paramount, TBS, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and other providers.

The entire system runs off Microsoft Points, the same currency used to purchase games and other items from the Xbox Live Marketplace. In the U.S., 80 Microsoft Points cost $1, and they’re available in $5 increments. Currently, video selections are only available to U.S. customers.

Along with launching the service, Microsoft finally revealed pricing for its digital video offerings:

AirPods and Xbox
AirPods can work with pretty much any Bluetooth connection, albeit without all the Siri enhancements that they have with Apple devices. The problem is that Xbox consoles don’t support the type of Bluetooth required for audio devices, so your AirPods won’t work with the console right out of the box.
