Rutherford Falls season 2 trailer is ‘bonker donkers’

During the first season of Peacock‘s Rutherford Falls, Ed Helms’ Nathan Rutherford faced multiple crisis points as the cherished beliefs he had about himself and his town came crashing down. The town’s relationship with the local Minishonka Nation reservation was also strained, and Nathan’s close friendship with Reagan Wells (Jana Schmieding) came perilously close to dissolving. As a final straw, Nathan learned that he wasn’t even a biological Rutherford at all. That’s why Nathan left it all behind in the first season finale. But in the first trailer for Rutherford Falls season 2, Nathan is back in town.

The good news for Nathan is that he and Reagan have patched things up and appear to be best friends again. Unfortunately for both of them, this little slice of small-town life is about to get a whole lot weirder. Case in point: Reagan finds herself in a fight at a Halloween party while wearing a ketchup bottle costume. And it does not go well for her.

All empires fall in the first teaser for Foundation season 2
Lee Pace in Foundation.

Thanks in large part to Star Wars, the concept of rebel versus empire has become a common part of space opera sci-fi stories. However, the empire at the heart of Apple TV+'s Foundation isn't cast in the same light as the Empire from George Lucas' epic. Instead, Isaac Asimov's Foundation stories predate Star Wars by almost four decades, and they present a future where the goal isn't to bring down the empire. It's to ensure that humanity has a future when the empire inevitably collapses. And if the first teaser trailer for Foundation season 2 is any indication, the fall of the empire may come sooner than expected.

Gus starts a hybrid revolution in Sweet Tooth season 2 trailer
Christian Convery in Sweet Tooth.

Any similarities between Netflix's Sweet Tooth and HBO's The Last of Us may be unintentional, but they are hard to deny in the latest trailer for the upcoming second season of the former. In The Last of Us, the cure to a plague that devastated humanity was in the body of a young girl named Ellie, and Sweet Tooth season 2 is also running with the idea that the human/animal hybrids can also heal the world -- but only if they are sacrificed in the process. While Ellie never got to make her choice, Sweet Tooth's Gus (Christian Convery) has made his decision to stand up to his captors. And if he isn't careful, it could be the Last of Gus!
