You can now use Visa Checkout for online purchases at Walmart and Starbucks

Add as a preferred source on Google

Visa just announced it’s adding several big name merchants and retailers to Visa Checkout.

Starbucks, Walgreens, the NFL Shop, the Home Shopping Network, and Match now use Visa Checkout, which allows consumers to store their card information and to make payments without having to leave the merchant’s website or mobile site. You just have to log in and click a button to make and complete a purchase. The company has said that Walmart will support Visa Checkout this year as well.

Visa launched Visa Checkout in 2014, and the company says it now has more than 10 million consumer accounts extending across more than 16 countries. In the 2015 holiday period, Visa says 45 percent of Visa Checkout shoppers used a mobile device to make an online purchase.

“We are seeing tremendous Visa Checkout growth as we enter 2016 and are greatly encouraged by the enthusiastic response from consumers and merchants alike,” said Sam Shrauger, senior vice president of Visa’s Digital Solutions, in a news statement. “By re-engineering the Visa card for the digital world, we’re delivering a better way to pay through connected and mobile devices.”

Walmart also recently launched a new method which will enable its shoppers to pay faster — except Walmart Pay requires the Walmart app and makes the cashier line at the store move faster.

Visa’s competitor, Mastercard, has had a similar solution since 2013 — MasterPass, where users just have to tap the “Buy with MasterPass” button at the time when they’re ready to make an online purchase. Walmart has also added MasterPass to its online and mobile checkout pages, which occurred earlier this month.

The company’s other participating retailers include Best Buy, Gap, Staples, Under Armour, and Virgin America, among others.

The phone you can actually repair yourself is finally coming to the US
A phone built to be fixed, not replaced, has officially landed stateside.
Fairphone-in-hand

Most US smartphone buyers gravitate towards popular smartphone brands, including Apple, Samsung, and Google. And while there’s no denying that these companies make exceptional smartphones, they all fall short in the department of repairability.

Break the display, and you are looking at repair costs of upwards of $300. Want to change the battery? It’s going to cost you at least $100, and even if you are ready to pay, you cannot repair it yourself.

Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy S26 FE may get one camera feature I absolutely loved
Horizon Lock is coming to the cheapest Galaxy S26 model
Close-up of three circular cameras on the back of the white Galaxy S25 FE

Over the last couple of weeks, leaks have already told us plenty about the Galaxy S26 FE. Much of the hardware sounds frustratingly familiar, while the design is unsurprisingly getting minimal changes. Now, a couple of hands-on videos have finally shown something I’m considerably more interested in.

Two apparent Galaxy S26 FE units have appeared in real-world videos, including footage shared by TikTok account @_samz02 and another clip reposted on X by Bradley, or @VerdeSelvans. Both show a purple or violet phone carrying Samsung’s newer S26-style camera island, and more importantly, Horizontal Lock appears inside the camera app.
