Digital Trends Video Now Available on Amazon Fire-Enabled TV & Stick Stream

PORTLAND, ORE. – MAR 10, 2015 Leading consumer technology lifestyle publisher Digital Trends announces a partnership with Amazon to make all Digital Trends video content available on Amazon Fire enabled TV and stick stream through the Digital Trends App. Digital Trends video content includes DT Daily, a wrap up of the most important consumer tech news of the day, as well as a wide variety of original product reviews and features.

Amazon rolled out Text Banner, a feature designed to help visually impaired viewers enjoy the content on the Fire TV platform.

Text Banner is an assistive technology for people with a narrow field of vision, including eye conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinitis pigmentosa, Amazon told Digital Trends. The feature consolidates the onscreen text in a fixed location, within a compact space.

Amazon now lets you create up to six viewer profiles on Prime Video

Amazon is, at long last, rolling out viewer profiles for its video-streaming platform, Prime Video. The new update allows as many as six people to have their own profile on a single Amazon account. In addition to separate watch progress and watchlists, each profile also offers personalized content recommendations based on the watching habits of the person using it.

Viewer profiles for Amazon Prime Video had begun appearing in a handful of regions such as India since late March. Amazon now says it’s bringing them to all of its customers worldwide, and will gradually make them available over the next couple of days. You will be able to manage profiles on every Prime Video platform including the web, Android, iOS, Fire TV, PlayStation 4, and more.
