Summary

The Logitech Internet Chat Headphones are clearly more suited for internet chatting than they are for gaming or music. The microphone does an excellent job of picking up your voice without the background noise and is perfect for meetings or general chat. However, the drivers in these headphones really lack any sort of depth to the midrange or bass offering a flat and fatiguing presentation. At just around $20 US for the Logitech Internet Chat Headphones they are great for business travelers that spend a lot of time telecommuting.

Introduction

Recommended Videos

There are a lot of things going for the Logitech Internet Chat Headphones including an in-line control, a 9 foot cable and a sleek behind-the-head design. Unfortunately there is a lot that is missing when it comes to sound and adjustability. Priced from just $19.99 these headphones are more suited to chatting than gaming or anything music related.

Features and design

It is very clear that Logitech designed the Internet Chat Headphones with style in mind. The wrap around design allows you to listen to music without messing up your hair or fiddling around with the adjustments. They fit relatively comfortably on your ears and require no adjusting width wise; the flexible plastic will mold to your head. Logitech includes several removable colored ear plates should you want the headphones to match your media player or your computer. The microphone is located on the left ear and is not adjustable. The inline control is about a foot down the cable and has controls for the volume and the mute button. The cable itself is similar to the cables Apple uses in their systems; it is a loose thick rubber that will not tangle easily. The cable splits at the bottom and has both microphone and audio inputs on it.

Setup and use

For such a relatively inexpensive and simple product, Logitech includes a pretty detailed instruction manual. Included with the headset are 5 interchangeable colored ear pieces which you can easily swap.

Sound quality on the Logitech Internet Chat Headphones is sub par at best. While it is crisp and somewhat clear, there is hardly any noticeable bass or warmth to them. We tested them with David Gray’s FLESH album which has a lot of vocals and acoustic guitar. The vocals actually sounded very flat and created a fatigue after a while of listening. During games the Logitech Internet Chat Headphones proved just as bad. While the headphones were very directional, there was no depth to the mid-ranges or bass whatsoever, everything was a constant flat.

The microphone on the other hand was much better than the sound. While broadcasting on our internet radio station http://www.neptuneradio.com/ our voice came across very crisp and loud no matter how far away the microphone was. There was no apparent “boom” while speaking and people could understand what was being said. We only wish the microphone was adjustable so you could move it away from your mouth.

The 9 foot long cable was a dream and we had no problems with it getting tangled up. The control unit is light enough to where it will not “tug” you if it fell off the desk or dangled. One thing we should mention is that if you have a chair with a headrest, you will not be able to rest your head against it while wearing these headphones as the wrap-around design prevents this.

Conclusion

The Logitech Internet Chat Headphones are clearly more suited for internet chatting than they are for gaming or music. The microphone does an excellent job of picking up your voice without the background noise and is perfect for meetings or general chat. However, the drivers in these headphones really lack any sort of depth to the midrange or bass offering a flat and fatiguing presentation. At just around $20 US for the Logitech Internet Chat Headphones they are great for business travelers that spend a lot of time telecommuting.

Your AirPods can now double as a retro gaming gun, and you can try it for free
Aim by turning an earbud, shoot with a tap.
Adult, Male, Man

Few things feel as satisfying as blasting pixelated ducks. However, I never imagined doing it with an earbud. Then again, gaming accessories have taken stranger forms.

A developer who posts as Dividivan on X turned one AirPod into a miniature, gun-like controller you can point and tap, but it only works with a Mac. The side project became BipBop, a free website that lets you use your AirPods as a controller for 30 throwback minigames.

In an age of conveniences, getting a daily workout has become increasingly difficult, which is reflected in the rising tide of obesity and related illnesses. Even something as simple as a few thousand steps daily is becoming difficult in a life that binds us to a desk, while cars and Ubers take away the remaining chances of walking a few thousand steps daily. Well, it's time to reconsider those habits.
