Get ‘ridiculous’: ‘Silicon Valley’s TJ Miller plans stand-up tour leading up to HBO special

HBO
T.J. Miller has work lined up outside the bounds of Silicon Valley. The comedian has announced that he’ll be hitting the road this summer for a new stand-up tour. The Meticulously Ridiculous Tour begins August 18 and includes 20 stops, reports Deadline. The final tour stop will bring him to Denver, where he will tape an hourlong HBO special produced by Funny or Die.

The Silicon Valley actor will bring his comedic chops to cities across the United States, including Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, and more. As the title implies, fans can expect the ridiculous when Miller takes the stage. He won’t be the only entertainer in the show, though. His wife, Kate Miller, a performer and mixed-media artist, and comedian Nick Vatterott will be part of the tour as well.

Miller is well known for starring in HBO’s critically acclaimed comedy series Silicon Valley, which centers on a group of startup founders in the tech hotbed. He has also made audiences laugh as Weasel in Marvel’s recent hit Deadpool, in which he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds, not to mention films like Big Hero 6, How to Train Your Dragon, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. His tour is just one of several upcoming projects, including playing the lead in Emojimovie: Express Yourself and ongoing work on Silicon Valley, which has been renewed for a fourth season.

The comedian, who is a Second City alum, has toured nationally in the past and previously made an hourlong stand-up special for Comedy Central. Called No Real Reason, the special aired in late 2011. He also currently hosts the podcast Cashing in with T.J. Miller.

Miller’s tour will be about a month long, running from August 18 to September 16.

3 Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend (April 26-28)
Luke Kirby and Michelle Williams in Take This Waltz.

As you've probably noticed, this is the last weekend of April. That means Hulu is about to lose some of its best movies before the new titles arrive May 1. And while we've already shared five great movies leaving Hulu at the end of April, those aren't the only terrific titles going out the door.

That's why this week's picks for the three Hulu movies that you need to stream this weekend are off the beaten path from the films we've previously chosen for April. We've picked out a historical drama, a romantic dramedy, and a remix of a classic Charles Dickens story. But since these movies are only around until April 30, you should catch these flicks before they go off to some other streamer.

Like Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout show? Then watch three shows and movies starring Ella Purnell
Lucy enters a house in Fallout.

Fallout has proven to be one of the bigger hits in Amazon Prime Video's existence, and it's also one of the most anticipated shows the streaming service has to offer this year. The series, which is loosely adapted from the popular video game franchise, stars Ella Purnell as a newly invented character who has to set off on a quest that will take her to the surface of a postapocalyptic version of Earth.

If you watched Fallout and found yourself intrigued by Purnell, in particular, then you're in luck. She's still a relatively new face in Hollywood, but she's starred in a number of projects in recent years, many of which have required her to hide her British accent. These are three you should definitely check out if you're a big Purnell fan.
