Samsung Brightens Up NX10 Camera with White Limited Edition

Samsung has announced it plans to introduce a white-bodied, limited edition version of its NX10 interchangeable lens camera, with the first models going on sale May 7. Although the NX10 isn’t a DSLR, it aims to offer all the image quality of high-end digital cameras, and supports interchangeable lenses to give photographers fine-grained control over their shots. The white limited edition camera is scheduled to be available in the United Staes, Taiwan, China, Korea, the Netherlands…although since it’s a limited edition, there may not be many on hand.

Samsung introduced the mirror-less NX10 back at CES in January: the camera packs a 3-inch AMOLED display, offers a 14.6 megapixel resolution, optical image stabilization, a dust reduction system, and the capability to shoot high-definition H.264 video…and push content out to an HDTV using HDMI. The NX10 also has features designed to appeal to non-professional photographers, including a pop-up flash, a Smart Auto mode, and a Smart Range contrast enhancement feature designed to give the look of hihg-dynamic range photos. The NX10 does support interchangeable lenses; however, it does use a special Samsung NX mount and lacks that mirror box so the flange distance is wrong for most types of existing lenses. That means photographers have an interesting time getting their lenses to work with the NX10: Novoflex has introduced a range of lens mounts that let the NX10 use other manufacturer’s lenses.

The white limited edition NX10 will ship with a 30mm pancake lens and a leather case. No pricing information has been released, but the standard NX10s go for about $700.

How to transfer photos from an iPhone to an iPhone

We all love making memories, and a great way to collect those memories is to take a quick snap of a gorgeous landscape, a party in full swing, or a particularly incredible meal. The Apple iPhone now also adds a location to your pictures, meaning it can collate those images together into a location-themed album, or show you all the shots you've taken in a specific location. It's a fun little addition, and it's one that adds a lot of personality to the Photos app.
