Why you should buy the Roku Pro Series

We tested the Roku Pro Series back in November 2024, and editor at large Caleb Denison was quoted as saying, “The Roku Pro Series delivers a delightful user experience paired with a premium picture.” Indeed, this budget-friendly set brings arresting colors and excellent peak brightness levels to the table, along with a TV speaker system we were totally blown away by. The Roku Pro also gets bright enough to overcome glare in brightly lit rooms, so you don’t have to worry about optimizing your viewing space.

The Roku Pro Series has two HDMI 2.1 connections and features VRR and ALLM support on top of a native 120Hz refresh rate. Whether you’re into sports, action movies, or video games, the Roku Pro delivers fast response times, ensuring every source is as smooth-looking as possible.

The Roku Pro Series also runs Roku’s TV OS software for smart TV features, casting capabilities, and Roku smart home controls. Access popular apps like Netflix and Hulu, stream hundreds of free live TV stations, and check the live feed from your Roku security cams!

Save $300 when you purchase the Roku 55-inch Pro Series 4K QLED today, and be sure to have a look at our roundups of the best QLED TV deals, best TV deals, and best Amazon deals for even more discounts on top TVs!

YouTube is reworking the Home page with Custom Feeds and quicker access to Subscriptions
Saved Custom Feeds are rolling out as YouTube also experiments with a redesigned Home navigation bar.

YouTube is changing how its Home page works, giving viewers more control over what shows up there and making some of the app’s most-used sections easier to reach. Custom Feeds are now replacing the existing topic chips for eligible users, while YouTube is also testing a redesigned top bar on mobile that moves Subscriptions closer to the Home feed.

YouTube first started experimenting with Custom Feeds earlier this year, letting you type out what you wanted to watch and turning that request into its own stream of recommendations. Now, the feature is starting to look less like a side experiment and more like something YouTube actually wants people to use as part of their everyday Home page.

Skullcandy is now part of Bose, but its bold identity isn’t going anywhere
Bold style, meet big sound. Skullcandy just joined the Bose family.
Skullcandy headphone man

If you own a pair of Skullcandy earbuds, there’s a good chance you’ve already heard Bose without realizing it. Now, the two companies are making things official. Bose has bought Skullcandy, the brand that made a name for itself with eye-catching headphones and a whole lot of attitude.

This deal didn’t come out of nowhere. For the past few years, Skullcandy has been packing Bose’s audio tech into its earbuds and headphones under the Sound by Bose label. That team-up worked so well that Bose decided to go all in and bring Skullcandy into the family.

Spotify rolls out its first native car app for cable-free listening, but only Audi drivers get it for now
Spotify app on Audi

I’ve sacrificed too many charging cables to my car’s USB port (even the braided ones). All so my playlist could follow me down the road.

Spotify just launched a fully native car app that runs on the car’s infotainment system, with no phone or cable required. However, it’s only available for Audi owners right now.
