Matrox Parhelia offers TV preview for Adobe

Matrox  announced a new What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) plug-in for Matrox Parhelia, offering unique TV previewing capability for Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and 7.0. This free plug-in forParhelia owners is available from the Matrox website and allows users to view Photoshop images on an NTSC or PAL video monitor, when in Parhelia’s Dual-Display plus TV-output or single-display plusTV-output mode.

“Matrox Parhelia and Adobe Photoshop users will be thrilled with this new WYSIWYG plug-in,” says Caroline Injoyan, video workstation product manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “It optimizes workflow whencreating images and titles for video in Photoshop, allowing users to preview a project on a video monitor to check for visual artifacts, without the need to import it into another application.”

The WYSIWYG plug-in installs directly into Photoshop 6.0 and 7.0 and lets users preview images on a TV, either in source size, with the option to maintain aspect ratio, or stretched full-screen, inorder to check for proper color temperature, safe title area and interlacing artifacts. Since Photoshop images are routinely incorporated into non-linear editing (NLE) applications such as Adobe®Premiere or Avid Xpress DV, or into compositing applications such as Adobe After Effects®, the ability to view them on a TV, prior to importing and rendering, greatly enhances video workstationproductivity.

The Adobe Photoshop WYSIWYG plug-in is a free download from the Matrox Graphics website for Parhelia owners. For more information, please access our video workstation page at the following link:http://www.matrox.com/mga/workstation/video/home.cfm.
