I’m in love with these Lunar New Year iPhone accessories
OtterBox Lumen Series Year of the Dragon for iPhone 15 Pro with mophie Powerstation Plus 10K CNY Dragon.

Lunar New Year is on Saturday, February 10, 2024. This is the start of the new year based on the lunar calendar; this time, we are celebrating the Year of the Dragon, and 2024 is associated with the element of Wood. Essentially, this is the year of the Wood Dragon.

I’m a rabbit myself, but I’ve always been a fan of dragons — they're one of my favorite mythological creatures. According to the Chinese zodiac, those born in the year of the dragon are charismatic, intelligent, powerful, and naturally lucky or gifted. Definitely unique and one of a kind!

Motorola just launched a new Android phone to take on the Pixel 8
The Motorola Edge (2023) displayed against a purple background.

Motorola is bringing a new midrange device to the market, and this one not only undercuts the Google Pixel 8 by $100, but it also offers a few neat conveniences of its own. Say hello to the Motorola Edge (2023), a sleek phone that serves curved glass aesthetics and leather-clad build at a starting price of $599 in the U.S.

The looks of the latest Edge are familiar to its predecessors, but this one offers MediaTek’s Dimensity 7030 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone runs Android 13, but Motorola won’t say how many OS updates it will get. Plus, there is no charging adapter in the retail box.

I’m sick of Motorola phones not having this one essential feature
The Motorola Razr Plus doesn't have an always-on display that can be permanently active.

I’ve really liked many of the Motorola phones I’ve used this year, from the excellent Motorola Razr Plus and Motorola Razr 40 to the interesting, but odd Motorola ThinkPhone.

But I’m increasingly annoyed by the lack of one simple feature across all of them. It’s beginning to really bother me, as I don’t understand why Motorola refuses to add it in. I’m talking about a true always-on screen.
No permanent always-on option
