Fujifilm was showcasing several new digital cameras at CES 2006 early this month in Las Vegas. These new models include the six megapixel FinePix F470, two entry level FinePix A-Series models and the ultra compact FinePix V10.
The FinePix F470 is no bigger than a deck of playing cards and sports a six megapixel CCD sensor. When this $279 model becomes available in March, it will sport features which include a new digital signal processor, Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, 10 scene modes, 16MB of internal memory, manual gain-up control and a 2.5†color LCD screen.
In the FinePix A-Series, Fujifilm introduced the four megapixel A400 for $149 and the five megapixel A500 for $179. Both should be available in February. Features in common on these two entry level digital cameras include an improved “Super†CCD sensor for better picture taking, enlargement of photos up to 8 x 10 print size, Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, 1.8†color LCD with anti-glare coating, four scene modes and AA battery power.
Fujifilm’s final early 2006 offering is the FinePix V10. This five megapixel camera, priced at $349 and expected to be available in March, sports image noise reduction technology to help improve taking pictures at light sensitivities as high as 1600 ISO at full resolution. Other features of this 3.3†x 2.5†x 0.9†camera will include a shooting mode to compare natural light versus flash, a 3†color LCD, four built-in video games, Funjinon 3.4 optical zoom lens, six scene modes and a 30fps playback mode for viewing groups of photos.
