The Tracks Air is a combination of Motorola function and Sol Republic awesome

Fresh off the joint release of their new Bluetooth speaker, the Deck, Sol Republic and Motorola are expanding on their recently struck love affair, unveiling today a new pair of wireless headphones, the Tracks Air. Combining Motorola’s prowess for wireless technology with Sol Republic’s flare for sleek, robust design, the new Air offer the familiar look and feel of Sol Republic’s Tracks series with some impressive Bluetooth upgrades, promising “stellar sound” in a chic wireless package.

Like the rest of the Tracks family, the Air boast handsome detachable ear cups riding along Sol Republic’s interchangeable headband, which is made of a high strength polymer that’s virtually indestructible. But the new no-strings-attached version also incorporate an impressive dollop of wireless features such as a 150 foot wireless range, dual-device connectivity, and a claimed 15 hour battery run-time. The Air’s new A2 “sound engines” are claimed to be specifically designed for Bluetooth performance and efficiency, as well as providing improved passive noise isolation. The cups are equipped with a “CrystalTalk” microphone, and an elegant layout of on-board controls including volume, play/pause, and call control.

The $200 Tracks Air will be available early this November in a multitude of color options, with even more styles being unveiled in the coming year. The relatively low price point makes the Air extremely competitive in the wireless field, and since we’ve enjoyed previous releases from Sol Republic, including the Master Tracks, we’re intrigued to see how this new Motorola collaboration performs. We expect to see a pair sooner than later, so we’ll let you know how they hold up as soon as we get the chance to check them out for ourselves.

Hisense’s achingly bright U9N ULED TV is a UX for the masses

In late 2023, just ahead of CES 2024, Hisense gave us a taste of just how far its engineers had been able to push the TV brightness envelope in the form of the limited-edition, 85-inch UX TV. With 3,500 nits of peak brightness, it was one of the brightest TVs we'd ever reviewed. And while Hisense's UX series remains the company's flagship (with massive 98- and 110-inch models coming later this year), some of the UX's features have trickled down to the new U9N ULED, a 4K TV that Hisense claims will produce an even brighter 5,000 peak nits.

The U9N ULED will come in 75- and 85-inch models, priced at $3,000 and $4,000, respectively. They're expected to be available from BestBuy.com this summer.
