Fuji FinePix Camera Gets Face Detection

Fuji has unveiled two new digital cameras in its consumer-oriented FinePix line with Real Photo Technology: the FinePix F20 which debuts as a sister camera to the company’s well-regarded FinePix F30, and the FinePix S6000fd, a 6.3 megapixel shooter with new face detection technology designed to improve shots and create better “people pictures.”

The FinePix F20 offers a compact point–and-shoot format designed to be affordable and convenient without compromising (much) on image quality. The F20 offers a 6.3 megapixel resolution and ISO 100-2000 sensitivity (up to 1600 in Auto and Manual mode); combined with Fuji’s Real Photo Technology, the F20 is capable of delivering high ISO at the camera’s full resolution. The camera also features Fuji’s iFlash intelligent flas system which sets power output and exposure for better-balanced results, and a dual-shot feature takes two rapid-fire pictures

It's a fun little addition, and it's one that adds a lot of personality to the Photos app.
