Samsung Rolls Out Two New S-series Cameras

Fresh off announcing their new NV series of cameras, Samsung has taken the wraps off its S700 and S1000 Digimax digital still cameras, completing the S-series in the companies Premium line of Digimax offerings. The S700 and S100 models boast 7 megapixel and 10 megapixel resolutions, respectively, with 2.4-inch LCD viewfinders and 3x optical zooms which operate in both still and movie modes.

“The ‘S’ Series cameras are perfect for everyone from beginners to advanced digital photographers,” says Stewart Henderson, National Marketing Manager at Samsung Opto Electronics. “With the addition of the S700 and the S1000, we have bolstered our already strong and comprehensive range of digital still cameras. This, combined with the recent launch of our NV Series, enables us to deliver products that meet the needs of a diverse dealer and consumer base.”

Both models support video recording

How to use Samsung’s Single Take camera mode on the Galaxy S20 Ultra
samsung galaxy s20 ultra camera guide single take

Smartphone cameras are packed full of features today, but not all of them are things we’d use on a regular basis. Samsung’s new Single Take mode found on its Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20 Plus, and S20 phones is the kind of camera feature we really like because it’s fun, useful, requires very little effort to use, and is something we predict many will use often. That is, provided you know exactly how to get the best from it.

What exactly is Single Take? It is made to ensure you never fumble around choosing which camera mode to use at a particular moment again. Let’s say your dog is going crazy chasing a ball. Do you want a video or a few stills? Make the decision quickly, as the craziness may not last long enough to get both. This is where Single Take comes in, as it takes video, shoots stills, and even makes fun little GIF-style video clips from that moment, all in one go, all from a single press of a button.

One of the headlining features of Google’s new Pixel 4, the astrophotography mode is now making its way to a bunch of previous-generation Pixel phones. Google has begun rolling out the version 7.2 update for its default camera app, which enables the astrophotography mode for Pixel 2, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3a line of phones, among other additions and changes.

The astrophotography mode builds upon the Google Pixel’s widely acclaimed Night Sight feature and allows users to easily capture night skies and the several mystifying elements it hides such as the Milky Way galaxy, which otherwise would have required high-end cameras and accessories. Since it largely relies on Google’s software prowess and a long exposure camera setting, it can function on older hardware without any major compromises.

How to transfer photos from an iPhone to an iPhone

We all love making memories, and a great way to collect those memories is to take a quick snap of a gorgeous landscape, a party in full swing, or a particularly incredible meal. The Apple iPhone now also adds a location to your pictures, meaning it can collate those images together into a location-themed album, or show you all the shots you've taken in a specific location. It's a fun little addition, and it's one that adds a lot of personality to the Photos app.
