What happened? Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced Spaceballs 2, a sequel to 1987’s parody film Spaceballs.

  • The studio released a picture of the cast from the table read for the Spaceballs sequel. Production is now underway.
  • Several key members from Spaceballs are returning for the sequel, including Rick Moranis as Lord Dark Helmet, Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, Mel Brooks as President Skroob/Yogurt, Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa, and George Wyner as Colonel Sandurz.
  • New cast members include Josh Gad, Keke Palmer, Lewis Pullman, and Anthony Carrigan.
