‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ gameplay looks at combat, choice, and consequence

dragon age inquisition gameplay pretty kind familiar

It turns out that Dragon Age: Inquisition looks an awful lot like the previous Dragon Age games, though it’s much prettier, even when shakycam-captured off of a demo screen. BioWare showed off the footage at Finland’s Digiexpo (via Polygon), and the video comes from one attendee that was okay with holding up a camera for 30 minutes. Thanks nameless Digiexpo attendee!

The clip runs through some of the story, so consider this your spoiler warning. The Inquisitor and his followers pays a visit to a town that’s been attacked, and since the town is in league with the Inquisition, you’re there to help. The gameplay highlights exploration and combat as well as a bit of the series’ trademark focus on choice and consequence. There’s not much more to say than that; check out the footage below to see for yourself, and let us know in the comments what you think.

Dragon Age: Inquisition comes to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms in 2014.

Anthem is getting huge changes to save the game from irrelevancy
Anthem update version 1.1.0 patch notes Sunken Cell weapon loadout contract mission fort tarsis

To say BioWare's Anthem has been disappointing would be an insult to every other disappointing game we've played in 2019. Anthem was a colossal failure for the studio, with mediocre reviews that questioned whether the studio could ever achieve its former glory. But BioWare is willing to try: The studio reportedly plans drastic changes to the game in an effort to save it from becoming irrelevant.

According to Kotaku, several of Anthem's biggest elements are going to be completely overhauled, either in one large update or in a series of smaller updates. These include the structure of missions, as well as the world itself and the loot. The game has been criticized for the relatively arbitrary loot scoring system, with weapons not varying enough in power compared to those found earlier in the game.

How to get a gun in Another Crab’s Treasure
Kril has a gun

Another Crab's Treasure no doubt looks like a kid-friendly game, but hiding beneath its charming and cute exterior is a challenging soulslike experience that can test the mettle of genre veterans. Those who either can't or don't want to engage with such intense difficulty throughout this underwater adventure can make great use of a variety of assists. Among these is a rather shocking, but hilarious option that can completely negate nearly all of the game's challenge while providing some laughs along the way. Here's how to get a gun in Another Crab's Treasure.
How to get a gun
To give yourself a gun in Another Crab's Treasure, head over to the Settings menu. Navigate to Assist Mode at the bottom of the menu, then scroll to the bottom once more to a setting called Give Kril a Gun. Toggle this on, then back out and resume your game to find that Kril now has a massive pistol on his back in place of a shell.

This new gun on your back provides you with more than just a funny visual, though -- it actually allows you to shoot and kill any enemy in a single hit, nearly eliminating all of the challenge from the game. Additionally, if you're after trophies or achievements, the first time you shoot a crab with the gun will also unlock "This Kills the Crab."
