Check out our review of the iUi Design Mini Mirror Boombox speaker.

Got a Mini Cooper enthusiast on your shopping list this year, but can’t afford to get them the car of their dreams? How about just a piece? With a take on Bluetooth speakers that’s as original as the Mini Cooper itself comes iUi Design’s Mini Cooper Mirror BoomBox, a new speaker that’s fashioned after the side mirror on the world’s most famous tiny sports car.

Available in three iconic color patterns including Union Jack, grayscale Union Jack, and checkered flag, the Mirror Boombox is a slice of Cooper kitsch for your mantel that also bumps out tunes from your smartphone. The little speaker includes Bluetooth 3.0 with aptX, NFC pairing, voice prompts, a rechargeable battery with an estimated 8 hours of runtime, an on-board speakerphone, and a touch capacitive volume control right above the mirror. Under the hood is an 8 watt sound amplifier.

The Mirror Boombox comes with an Aux input for hard wire connections, and it can remember two paired devices at a time, allowing  you to switch between a tablet or smartphone with ease. While it won’t give you quite the same effect as the old bow in the driveway scene (has that ever actually happened?), at $150, it also won’t cost you a second mortgage on the house.

The iUi Design Mini Cooper Mirror BoomBox is available now.

[This article was updated on 2/3/14 to indicate a touch capacitive control system above the screen, not a touch screen display]

While you can't get Disney Plus for free, there are quite a few very cheap options. Insignia 50-inch F30 LED 4K Smart TV — $220, was $300

Insignia's low cost TV just got even cheaper. It's got the standard LED display that you're probably used to if you last bought a TV some years ago, but also has a 4K resolution, smart capabilities, and a large 50-inch screen. In other words, this is a fantastic way to upgrade or replace your aging TV for about the same cost (or less) than you paid for it.
