ColorWare Stealth MacBook Pro

ColorWare Stealth MacBook ProFear not, nerds of the night. The black MacBook Pro has returned.

Well, sort of.

Mac madhouse ColorWare recently revealed a new version of the MacBook Pro that takes a more cloak-and-dagger approach to Apple’s bright and cheery 2009 MacBook Pros. The Custom Stealth uses the company’s own Sof*Touch coating to black out the aluminum in favor of a soft “zero gloss” finish from heel to toe. Even the screen has been modded for covert computing with a matte screen to produce less glare.

Short of the exterior specs, it’s still the MacBook Pro you know and love, with 15-inch widescreen display, 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive, and of course, a backlit keyboard.

But don’t invest in that matching black messenger bag just yet. ColorWare will produce only 10 of these lovely black beauties, and each one’s going for a cool $6,000. More information and ordering information for those who would care to roll the dice on one can be found at Colorware.
