Remember Battlefield 4 and how it didn’t really… work at launch? Well that’s not an issue anymore. And to celebrate that fact, Electronic Arts is re-releasing the game in Premium Edition form, with all add-on content included as part of the game’s season pass packed in. It’s a $60 package that hits retail on October 21, 2014.
Interestingly, the game is listed for release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows (via Origin), and Xbox One, but not Xbox 360. EA confirms that’s the case, and we’re waiting on an official statement right now regarding why.

Battlefield 4 Premium Edition is effectively the same as the core game plus a subscription to EA’s “Premium” season pass. In addition to five DLC add-ons — Second Assault, China Rising, Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth, and the upcoming Final Stand — the season pass also includes priority access in server queues for multiplayer matches, bonus personalization items (camos, dogtags, and whatnot), and 12 bonus Gold Battlepacks, which are grab bags that award players with customization items for both their soldier and their weapons.
So while you might not be able to play Battlefield: Hardline again in 2014, you’ll at least have the opportunity to engage in some epic-scale multiplayer warfare on the day the upcoming game was originally set to come out. Battlefield 4 Premium Edition arrives on October 21.
