The first trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron wasn’t supposed to premiere until next week, but after a leaked version of the footage began making the rounds yesterday evening, Marvel released the entire trailer online in all of its Hulk-punching, robot-packed glory.
Marvel’s awareness of the leak was confirmed by a two-word post on Twitter:
Dammit, Hydra.

The message was followed by a new post linking to the full, official version of the trailer on Marvel’s YouTube channel.
As for the trailer itself, the two-minute preview of Avengers: Age Of Ultron managed to pack in quite a bit of action, with sequences depicting Iron Man’s battle with Hulk while wearing his “Hulkbuster” armor, new characters Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in action, and an extremely creepy monologue by James Spader, the voice of Ultron. The trailer concludes on an ominous note, with Captain America (Chris Evans) shown lying unconscious next to the shredded remains of his shield.
Ultron, the “big bad” of the Avengers sequel, appeared in a variety of forms during the trailer: first, in a cobbled-together body constructed of discarded Iron Man armor parts; later, as both an army of android clones; and finally, in his fully assembled form, addressing the Avengers with the cryptic statement, “There are no strings on me.”
It’s interesting to note that one of the other new characters introduced in the film, Vision (Paul Bettany), doesn’t make an appearance in the footage.
