Orphan Black, the hyper-addictive sci-fi series from BBC America has been renewed for a fourth season. Following the tumultuous third season, which ends on June 20, the show will return for 10 new episodes in 2016.

The award-winning Canadian series began airing in the US on BBC America in 2013, which has since entered into a partnership with AMC Networks. Deadline notes that the Season 3 opener, which aired on five AMC network stations in March, earned 1.27 million same-day viewers (and 1.9 million viewers within three days).

The series follows Sarah Manning ( Tatiana Maslany), a young woman who discovers a litany of clones of herself — each with strikingly different personalities and backgrounds — and attempts to find out why they exist, and where they came from before an assassin kills them one by one. For her metamorphic performance as a growing collection of identical “sisters,”  Maslany has received two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actress, a TCA Award for Individual Achievement, and nominations for a Golden Globe, SAG, and People’s Choice Award.

“Orphan Black is an entirely fresh and original show that stands out even in today’s crowded TV landscape,” said BBC America president Sarah Barnett in a statement. “Tatiana Maslany’s buzzy, virtuoso performance headlines a brilliant cast and we are delighted to let our vocal and passionate fan base know that this wildly entertaining ride will continue next year.”

In addition to Maslany, the series features Dylan Bruce (Archer), Jordan Gavaris (Curse of Chucky) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (Jupiter Ascending, Albert Nobbs). The series, which won a Peabody Award last year, is produced by Canadian-based Temple Street Productions in association with BBC America and Space.

“We’re thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga… We’re extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the rollercoaster with our amazing fans,” said co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson.

The Orphan Black season 3 finale will air on June 20.

The cast of That Thing You Do!

The first weekend in May has arrived, and Hulu fans should be happy to hear that there's a new lineup of movies to enjoy. Like most of the major streamers, Hulu debuts the majority of its library additions on the first of the month. But there will more movies released on Hulu throughout May.

Since the first weekend of May is traditionally timed around the opening of a superhero movie, our first choice this weekend is a comic book film that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Our other two picks include Tom Hanks' directorial debut, and a generation-spanning drama that holds up three decades after its release.
The Mask (1994)
