CES is a double-edged sword for tech journalists. It’s the largest consumer electronics trade show in the United States and one that constantly looms on the horizon like an ominous cloud filled with the promise of long hours and sleep-deprived nights. At the same time, it’s a space where we can gawk at remarkable innovations that will soon shape the future of the industry, redefining technology as a whole and paving the way for more advanced application as they do. That said, wouldn’t it also be nice if you could peruse and purchase all the show’s products in a single place?
This year, things are going to be a bit different. Amazon’s CES Showcase will feature a host of inventive products, from high-end audio components to the latest in home automation, all culled directly from its showroom floor. The showcase will essentially function as a central hub for all things 2016 CES-related, thus providing quick access to the latest product reveals, interviews, and video reviews featured on Digital Trends and a few other select publications.
It will also serve as the first place you’ll be able to pre-order many of the products shown throughout the week of January 6, and this will allow you to be the first to get your hands on that must-have gadget everyone is talking about before it officially goes on sale.
